Citi Corp Virtual Reward Center Reports & Reviews (1)

You get this email (and I took screen shots of the whole process) and all it states as the sender is Virtualrewardscenter.com. I recently completed a survey on a new product to win a $25 gift card. About 5 days later I received an email telling me that I won a $20 Citi Corp Citibank Virtual Gift Card and can only be used for online purchases. I thought it was pretty cool so that I could put something towards a purchase for my yard. The email gives me an authorization code that I need to access the account with and then sign in to create an account in order to get my "reward." I have the emails from their tech support, Dennis, stating "how to use and log in to their account," because I followed all of the instructions and did not get my $20 gift card. When you sign in and create an account, after you type all of your vital information (name, address, phone #) the next screen is supposed to be the screen to give you your gift credit card information. The credit card number, pin & expiration. I was told that once you activate the card, you have 30 days to use the money on it. I can't even access the card or information because I am sent to a screen where it states that "I have now been logged off." I contacted Citi Corp, by phone & email, asked if this was a legitimate reward and was directed to another website in case the original was still busy. But that website takes too long to access and my computer tells me that the page does not exist. (www.prepaid.city.com) When I called, I asked the girl if the reward email was legitimate or a scam where I would have to contact the ScamPulse.com. She gave me the run-around then reassured me that the site was busy and try back 2 hours later that it was a legitimate reward. It's been about a week and I tried back today. I can't access the gift card. I know there are probably others targeted for this scam. I just don't want other people robbed of their assets while trying to access this phony reward. I have all of the emails between tech support and screen shots. I will try to attach all of the screen shots but it doesn't look like they will all fit. I just want to warn others of this. Also I reported the original email with the authorization code as a "phishing scam" to Yahoo mail.
