On 10/12/2024 at 6:45 a.m. PST I received a text message claiming to be CA FasTrak advising me of "an outstanding toll balance of $3.67. To steer clear of a late fee of $49.67, kindly settle your balance at CAtollinvoice.com"

I checked my account and I do not have an outstanding balance, that phone number is not the number for Toll Roads and there was a warning regarding phishing so I checked that phone number and it is a scam.

I received 3 identical texts this morning from a phone number 514-467-7265 saying I had a balance of $3.67 owed and was told I needed to settle the balance at CAtollinvoice.com to avoid a $49.67 penalty. I thought it was curious because I haven’t used any toll roads or lanes that I could think of and usually I would be contacted via mail since they get my information through my license number. I looked up the phone number and saw a ScamPulse.com complaint against this same phone number but saying it was a PA toll inquiry- so I knew not to click the link. Also looked up the website given and was fairly sure it was a scam
