Eber of Capital Wall Systems was supposed to fix the drywall and carpet in my home. He came to view the damage and gave me a quote of $7,460 originally. Insurance stated they would not pay that amount so he changed it to $5410. I spoke to Eber almost daily about him starting the home. He kept stating if I just gave him 1/3 $1803 he would start tomorrow and it would take him a week to finish. He was very persistent about getting the deposit so he can start. I ended up giving him $1000 because insurance was taking a while to settle. He took the money and said he would start tomorrow. He contacts me the next morning stating he is sick and cannot come but he will for sure be here the next day. The day comes and again he does not show. I contact him and he states he is still sick but he going to send one of his workers. They never show. I contact him again and he states his worker doesn’t have a ride but he will for sure be here the next day. The next day comes and I contact him asking what time they are coming. He states he needs to contact his dad to see. I contact him a few minutes later and he states they are waiting for the rain to stop. It was barely drizzling but no one shows up that day either. I contact him Sunday and he states they will be here for sure Monday. I told him I was going out of town Tuesday evening so they can work Monday and Tuesday and finish when I come back the end of the week. He says ok. No one shows up Monday or Tuesday. I contact him the following Sunday asking if they are coming Monday and he says yeah definitely for sure.Monday comes he does not show I contact him and he says one of his workers was injured and the inspector is coming but he’ll be here tomorrow. At this point I said no just return the deposit back. He states sent it through Zelle and to wait 24 hours. The money never shows up. He then states he can not send money from Zelle . I said send it through cash app or Apple Pay. He stated he cannot send it through cash app either. He then ignores me for the next couple days. After calling him multiple times he states he is going to write me a check. I asked how I will get the check he states he will meet me. I’ve attempted to meet with him multiple times each day is a new excuse. My home has been fixed by another contractor in 48 hours compared to the week that Eber stated. It has also been almost 3 weeks I have still not received my deposit refund and he is completely ignoring my calls and text messages.
