Person called representing Capital One and said that there was fraud on my card. I was on hold for extended periods while he supposedly checked all the possible fraud charges on my account. He got too much personal information from me before I realized what was happening. Eventually I hung up on him but he continued to call from 901-235-0669. I have called all affected businesses.

Text from Capital One asking if we just purchased $1400 in Atlanta Ga. We said N. Apparently they tried to call back. We don’t answer phone scam risk callers. Got a text again wanting us to say Y for them to call back. Unfortunately I said Y. They never called back. So we called Capital One to see if both accounts had been used they said no.

Phone number called me it went to voicemail, said it was a woman named Ellie with capital one finance I just recently put in a credit application for a lease end account via capital one auto however this phone number does not match records for capital one and cannot be found anywhere in the main capital one website

Email stated a credit card I didn’t apply for was denied. It asked for my birthday and last 4 digits of my social to view the letter explaining why I was denied.

This is the email that they sent me which included the Capital One logo. Was VERY convincing

Got a text message after making a payment from my bank saying they needed to talk to someone at the bank to verify it was my account... Which I have done several times before I then told them I just wanted to close the account and how would I get my money refunded they asked me who I would like to talk to... As if I was going to ask to talk to Bill the refund guy.. these people are scammers and will aggravate you until you give up... Don't !

I received a call saying that my card had a charge of 470.00 in Ohio at a Walmart. And wanted to send me a link to put my personal information when they send a text to my phone. The number he called me from is ###-###-#### and the text link number is ###-###-####.

They emailed pretending to be Capital One investigating fraud. They wanted me to sent my Bank Statement, then they asked for my Social Security Card.

I received a call from a person claiming to be from Capital one, the caller stated that their was fraudulent activity on my account and I needed to resolve it as quickly as possible to avoid any future activity. I was instructed to go buy a $500.00 gift card and read them the numbers, which I did do, then they wanted me to go to the bank and withdraw all of my funds in cash and not to tell the teller why I was doing so, I started to become suspicious of the caller at that time and did not withdraw my funds from the bank.

Capital one has been sending me junk mail for over two years and when i am finaly able to contact someone at their office they tell me that they will not take me off their mailing list unless i give them my social security number. I have never had anything to do with capital one i have never had a account with them. I am sick of them charging and wasting their existing customers bank fee money to send me unwanted solicitations to sign up online for a account . When i filed a complaint with the BBB. They responded to ScamPulse.com saying that Capital one would stop sending solicitations to me but Capital one failed to actually take me off their mailing list and so i still get solicitations about every two weeks. ScamPulse.com says it will show that this complaint was resolved and closed and that Capital one "answered" . What does that mean anyway? I would like to warn everyone to stay away from the scammers at Capital one bank and never give them their business or set up any accounts with them. I would like to join a class action lawsuit to hold Capital one accountable for the harassment towards me.

I received a suspicious text from 732-307-8285. Claimed to be with Capital One. I was approved for a $5000 loan and to call them. I applied with a number of places online for a loan. I did not call the number or reply to the text.

The reference number they give is from a home improvement company not a bank or anything related

This number called me saying I was approved for a credit card with a 1.99% intrest rate if I called a certain number which I didn’t have time to write down they said the call was a one time offer and then said I had 3 business days to call and take up the offer. I was told by two individuals that this probably was a scam. I’m just warning you before the public gets scammed.

Received a official looking letter from Capital One asking me to send copies of my SS #, Official ID and official addess to finish processing my Walmart Caital One credit card application. Of which I have never applied for.

I got a call from a guy who had all of my personally identifiable information. He said I had a Capital One credit card since 1991 with a $3100 balance. It wasn't true. He said I'd been making payments for 9 years, then quit. He wanted me to pay $3180. He said he was a NY debt collector, and he was collecting on a debt. His number is 708-620-3256.

I have checked my credit score and background every year I have found some suspicious things I know I didn't purchase or open so this past month I had to put alerts and freeze my info must not have worked because I'm still getting these offers and scams via post mail.When they call I block then but doesn't stop them for trying further. I even receive mail from other persons name that don't live with me today and never has lived with me so I made reports due to ups but mail for these people won't stop coming to my address.Please be careful and much luck and blessings God Bless

My card was not about to expire and had several years left on it. I contacted Capital One and was advised they never notify one that the card is about to expire by use of email. It is done by US Mail by sending a new card. I was told the email address given herein is not a valid email address for Capital One and the phone number isn't valid either.

My caller ID had Capital One with an actual Capital One number. The man was obviously not with Capital One, so I said I'm not interested please don't call back. He then told me to go Fu-- myself.
