Asked if I could hear him and stupid me said yes

It was a women that called asked to speak with me. I said this is she. She said thank you and hung up.

I received a cell phone call. I answered saying "hello this is ..." there was a pause and a man with an American voice asked "can you hear me?" I answered yes. So I provided both my name and a yes answer.

Female kept asking, "are you there?", hoping that I would respond, "yes". I did not respond and hung up. I hope your organization can trace the origin of the caller and arrest them so they can no longer victimize people.

I received a text from #732-638-4359 and the person referred to me by my nickname. Therefore, I assumed this person was someone I knew until I called him. He then wanted me to confirm if he was speaking to the person he referred to me by. I did not but instead questioned the person I was talking to. He then immediately hung up.

Nov 16, 2022 I misdialed a number & got a recording asking callers over 50 to press 1 for a special offer. Since the number I thought I'd dialed sometimes has "special offers", I wasn't suspiciou. I hit 1, & heard something like "Hi this is Jennifer on a recorded line . . . Can you hear me OK?" Without thinking I replied "Yes, but I have the wrong number" and hung up. I immediately realized what I'd done. I called back a second time, without saying anything this time, to listen more closely; the recording paused after asking if I could hear, then went on to talk about medical devices; when I didn't answer the second question the line went dead. I called back a few minutes later & got a recording that the number was unavailable in my area.

My mom answered a local call. Said “hello”, caller said “can you hear me?”, mom said yes and then it gave her a recording about lowering chase credit card fee. She hung up.

The person identified herself (did not catch the business name but never heard of it) and then said she was on a recorded line and asked if I could hear her ok. I said yes and then she hung up. Searched online for this and research indicates that this is some sort of scam so that they can fake an unauthorized charge or something similar.

Caller stated from Medicare help center and then can you here me ok? Long pause and then gave a call back number very quickly and then disconnected

I know that you are never supposed to say "yes" on the phone but I was distracted and he got me to respond to the question "Are you ...." and I said yes twice.

This phone number called my work number and said "hello," I said "hello" and they asked "can you hear me?" and I replied "yes." I am aware of the scam, but for personal phone numbers and it was a knee-jerk reaction on my work line where I often deal with random phone numbers calling daily. The caller immediately replied "I'll call you right back" and hung up. I assume they are now selling our number to telemarketer lists as a result.

I received a call from 352-559-1550 at 10:19am on 8/22

The person pretended to be a potential customer for our business and asked first if it was our business - i said yes - then asked if we take credit cards - i said yes - then if we take amex - i said yes. I googled the number after she hung up and saw others reporting same call from that #. It's a scam to record us saying "yes".

Caller asks "hello, can you hear me?" and repeats that their bluetooth headset is not working correctly, while waiting for a response. Caller hangs up after 20 seconds

Caller immediately asked "Can you hear me", followed by fumble around and stating "my Bluetooth isn't working right" and then hung up.

Caller (recording) “Hold on my Bluetooth isn’t working. Hold on…hold on…hold on…” then disconnect.

They asked hello and I accidentely said yeah before I realized that it was the hello scam

Hello? Can you hear me? 503-662-9151

"Hello, can you hear me? Hold on my bluetooth isn't working right," I answered Yeah I can hear you.

Asked if I could hear them then asked how I was. Answered yes, then ok before realizing it was a spam call.
