This fraud pretended to be a NYC real estate broker, “helping” me find an apartment. I found his listing on a facebook group & contacted him. He gathered my information, sent me an application/fee, and started the process. He went on to request more money (totaling $335) for a security deposit on an apartment he never actually had access to. Please be very careful as these people prey on your desperation, knowing it is not easy to find a place in a time crunch. I just want to spread awareness.
