My client that I recently refinanced got this scam letter in the mail pretending to be from the company that I work for and telling my client there was an urgent matter. Fortunately the client is savvy and checked with me first, as he knows any communication regarding his loan would come directly from me anyway. But I worry for clients who aren't as diligent with things of this nature, that they could be taken advantage of by way of stealing information or money, so I felt the need to report this.

I recently refinanced & now I keep getting daily numerous urgent requests via postal mail all saying it’s from Rocket Mortgage trying to reach me but they all have different phone numbers, like 1(833) 402-0148. I will not respond as my mortgage company can reach me by phone or email and when I log into my account there are no indications that they are contacting me.

I have recently got a mortgage. This company, Mortgage Service Center, send me snail mail saying 'we have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to your mortgage'.

These "people" from Mortgage Service Center send mail that they attempt to make it appear to come from your bank. It happens after you get a mortgage on your home. I have received 4 pieces from them this week alone and over 2 dozen pieces since the middle of March. The envelope was one of those "bend and tear off the sides" and also regular envelopes with the little window that makes it look slightly more legitimate. Inside they listed my county, closing date, amount and leader's name. They say " we have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to your mortgage. Please call 1-833-408-1612. Thank you, The Mortgage Service Center " In the fine print it identifies an NPN# 19588308, which It appears to be an insurance solicitation with time-sensitive in protecting the mortgage.

Odd urgent looking letter from Mortgage Service Center with our correct street address and former mortgage lender. "This letter is to inform you about an important matter regarding the property at [my address] secured by your current lender which is [our former mortgage company]. We reserve the right to revoke allocated waiver after 7 days of receiving this notice." Also some sort of $199 fake check looking thing.

Arrived as a secured piece that needs the tabs to be ripped off to open and read.

But the letter from Mortgage Service Center states "we have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to your mortgage. Please call 1-833-408-1597."

We received a second one with the same exact message, but a different phone number: 1-833-408-1586

Received a letter from noted PO Box 19595, Jacksonville FL 32245-9595, it was stating my county, close date, loan amount, bank lender name. Message addressed myself and mentioned " We have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to your mortgage. Please call 1-833-408-1597." I was about to call but decided to google the number first and what do you know it IS A SCAM

I have been receiving 2 letters a day saying they want to get in touch about a home equity loan. I called to try to get th to stop and just got an automated message where they were asking info and saying I could be covered if I die or become disabled. I never was able to talk to a person as they asked for my phone number and I would not enter it.

I recieved a piece of mail from Mortgage Service Center with my county, close date, loan amount, lender name, my name, and motgage id on it posing as my mortgage lender saying they have been trying to reach me and to call a number. It was from PO Box 19595 in jacksonville, FL.

Looks like an official bank communication with some correct information regard a loan home loan taken. They are asking for a call back regarding "a matter of importance" relating to mortgage. Call 1-833-408-1613.

I just refinanced my home through Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) within the past 2 weeks, and since then, I started receiving postal mails (perforated-sides envelopes and post-cards) from this address, claiming that they've been trying to get a hold of me, with a sense of urgency, and with a "RE: NAVY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION" to include the correct refinance amount.

It all looks very legit, minus the actual loan account/mortgage ID number: "[My actual Last Name], Mortgage ID: 504-835-326"
