I was a victim of the same scam as described above. It sounded very convincing until I received a check for much bigger sum than asking price for logo design. I have all emails and screenshots (if needed). I never cashed the check. So frustrating! Next time I will do serious research on every contact for a freelance job.

I would also like to add that she found my from Indeed. Claimed she is going to report me for being fake? Lol. Watch out for what you apply for on Indeed!

Omg where was this a week ago! Literally same thing has happened to me. Amy reached out to me wanting a logo. I got her to sign the contract and told her I need a down payment before the work began. She sent me the check and it was for way more than we had discussed. She wanted me to send the extra back (which I didn’t). I’ll post more screenshots below.

"Amy" contacted me through my website, asking for logo design. She says she is opening a salon and needs a logo. It is the same scam as the "Zee auto parts" scam. Wants to send a check before work even begins..but need all your info. It seems the email address she has is very simular to the Zee auto email address for "Thomas".each have a name followed by a number.. ie [email protected]. His is [email protected]
