Foreign guy with accent called me about a loan application I had filled out on line. Said I was approved for the $40,000.oo I did apply for.

He called himself Mark. Employee #8803.

He asked for my routing # and account #. He also asked for social. I only gave last four digits and my birthday.

He said all he had to do was send the money to my checking account. Then he said the computer wanted my online banking user name and password.

I don't have online banking. He told me to go ahead and activate an account online. I said No. We argued about not needing online account. I told him the routing and account # should be sufficient to do a deposit. He said he needed an online account to verify my ownership of the account. I said No and I meant No. He then said without that info he couldn't give me the loan. I hung up.
