“Time sensitive” notice of impending expiration of unspecified auto coverage, with attached “Registration Fee Voucher” for $199 (noting in minuscule lettering “THIS IS NOT A CHECK”). “Final attempt to notify you”

- Billerica, MA, USA • Aug 29, 2025

Received a letter from unknown company that attached a $199.00 check that I could cash. A response was needed regarding a TIME Sensitive Matter regarding my KIA Souls auto warranty and repairs about to expire. Would need to call 1-888-535-0247 with the Record ID # given. If I don't call by Sept. 8 they have the right suspend any repair coverage.

Asking to activate car coverage for vehicle, saying its extremely urgent and time sensitive

- Bella Vista, AR, USA • Aug 08, 2025

I bought a new car that has a 20 year 200000 mile warranty. Received a letter through USPS stating my warranty was about to expire and to call. Googled the phone number and found this same number on the ScamPulse.com website.

- Ballston Lake, NY, USA • Aug 05, 2025

Letter in mail requesting I call number for coverage on my vehicle, which may be expiring.

Envelope showed: Prsrtd Std US Postage PAID Mailed from 63155 Permit 5497

- Attleboro, MA, USA • Jul 18, 2025

Letter states ***Response to this notice requested*** Please contact us regarding the coverage of your Year, Make Model. Call 1-888-535-0247 today with your current mileage. You're receiving this notice to ensure no lapse in coverage. By neglecting to activate coverage, you will be financially liable for any and all repairs after your factory warrant expires. However, you may have time left to activate coverage before it's too late. No vehicle inspection will be required at this time.

I know that I purchased a comprehensive coverage policy for 10 years or 100 miles from my dealership. This letter is a phishing scam. intended to extract money from hard working people by using scare tactics.

Random letter with no real information. The signee for the letter is James Winters.

- Hudson, MA, USA • May 02, 2025

Received a letter in the mail from a ***** *******. Referenced my car and that I needed to call a number to provide my miles and VIN to ensure I don't receive a lapse in coverage. No address, business name or any real identifying markers where this letter came from.

- Franklin, MA, USA • Apr 30, 2025

USPS letter received with personal address, name, and current vehicle type, including "FINAL NOTICE" in the top middle of the letter, barely visible through the letter's plastic. There is no identifiable info for what company is sending this letter, except for a phone number to call belonging to someone named "James Winters" and the name, US Automotive Protection Services, at the very bottom in fine print. This letter states that my factory warranty is expiring and to ensure coverage continues that I need to call and verify my VIN number and mileage. It also states that "By neglecting to activate your coverage you will be at risk of being financially liable for any and all repairs after your factory warranty expires." This is a phishing scam meant to gather your vehicle info, especially with no return address or easily identifiable info pointing you to who or what company this notice is from and the "FINAL NOTICE" being bolded which will draw anyone's attention immediately to the letter.

- Charlestown, MA, USA • Apr 27, 2025

Final notice that says “please contact us regarding the coverage on your *correct car make and model*… You’re receiving this notice to ensure no lapse in coverage…”

- Ocala, FL, USA • Apr 25, 2025

received "final notice" letter

- Indianapolis, IN, USA • Apr 22, 2025

They sent out letters which state it is refering to a Motor Vehicle Notification, Vehicle services division, private & Confidental. RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE REQUESTED. It states that your warranty coverage is expired or about to expire and to call 1-888-535-0247 with your current mileage by May 1, 2025. The letter is signed byJames Winters. So I called the number and they ask what the record id # was that was on the letter, I told him. He proceeded to tell me what make and year of my car that had or will be soon expired. I told him we only had the vehicle about 2 years and that he would have to talk to my husband because he was also listed on the vehicle. He kept insisting that my warranty was about to expire. Then when I told him my warranty should still be in effect. He then hung up on me. Then I brought up my warranty info on my vehicle up on my phone and found that my warranty was still in effect. This guy was trying to get me to buy a manufacture warranty that I did not need. He must be sending this out to women, why else would he list only my name as the owner when my husband is listed first on the title to the vehicle. It's just a scam to get money from unsuspecting people.

And another note, there is no company name or return address on the envelope or letter.
