Home Warranty Division claims we must keep up a warranty replacement protection program. We don’t know this company. County Deed Records

With a Reg#*********** Pin ****

Told them many times we do not have a contract with them. But they keep sending cards out.

- Germantown, TN, USA • May 14, 2025

Received a double-sided postcard mentioning Home Warranty Division and County Deed Records. Claim is a warranty replacement notice and to call the number for uninterrupted protection.

- Sevierville, TN, USA • May 13, 2025

Received a post card that didn’t contain any of the following information about who it was from: a company name, a physical or mailling address, an email address, or a web address. The only way to respond or contact them was to call 1-888-413-5452. Postcard stated it's from the Home Warranty Division and County Deed Records. It lists a registration ID and PIN number, and advises to contact them in order to avoid a lapse in coverage. When you call the number they're persistent with trying to get payment information, and wouldn't provide any answers to my question pertaining to a company name, location, or website. After several attempts, I finally just hung up. If you're reading this DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION!! IT'S A SCAM!!!

- Huntsville, AL, USA • May 10, 2025

Home Warranty Division appears to be a scam. Their communication included vague, generic information with nothing specific to suggest we had any prior relationship or valid service agreement.

- Chesterfield, MO, USA • May 07, 2025

I received a mail offer saying my home warranty for my house is about to expire. I never had done business with them before. I called the company and the person who responded says that they work for Zurich. He used aggressive sales tactics such as, "this offer is valid only for today only, after that it will be gone".

- Canonsburg, PA, USA • May 06, 2025

A card arrives from County Deed Records. There is no return address or website. The card appears very official, fake barcodes etc.

- Maynard, MA, USA • May 06, 2025

Received a postcard saying "This is your Warranty Replacement" notice advising you to contact our offices so you do not have a lapse in coverage for all available covered components. With active services, all repairs and replacements will be covered that reflect your updated paperwork. Call 1-888-413-5452 now before it's too late and your expiration date expires leaving your home at risk of expensive repairs and/or product replacement." It also says Home Inspection = Waived; Component Element Carrier = Mechanical Systems"; Coverage Area = Inside/Outside; Usage Limit = Continual. It gives a registration ID and pin. And it says the hours of operation for the call center are M-F 6am-7pm CST and Sat 10-4 CST. (I knew it was a scam and didn't call.)

Contacted phone number listed on letter no company name, address, etc. Spoke to representative to inquire how my information was obtained by their company. Rep. stated "thru AI and all information is public". I continued to ask questions was disrupted numerous times he would not clarify anything. Advised I wanted my information removed from their files and would contact the BBB. Representative stated he would look forward to me reporting them and hung up. I called again and asked for supervisor was transferred and disconnected. I am appalled of how these companies get personal information and scam.

- Gloucester, MA, USA • May 01, 2025

I received a postcard today stating that they advise me to contact them or I will have lapse coverage on my dwelling.call 888-413-5452

- Durham, NC, USA • May 01, 2025

Received postcard claiming "Home Warranty Division" with no other business or sender source information except pre-sorted bulk mail in upper right box (standard stamp location) from Dallas TX permit no. 2650 with "253271 - T951" below the stamp box.

Claimed need to replacement warranty "registration is required by continued protection" and other urgent scammer phrasing.

- Noblesville, IN, USA • Apr 30, 2025

The scammer sent a post card to my home saying at the top in bold letters on one side:

County Deed Records

On the other side in bold letters:

Home Warranty Division

The name on the post card, has my mother in laws name ( she does not live with me, has not lived with me for years) with my address.

When I called the number, the gentleman who answered said, said the company name, which is no where listed on the card. Said it was for home warranty services.

I requested for my address to be removed from his system, he asked for a registration # before he could remove my address. (At the time of the call, I was frustrated and couldn’t find it.) At this point. I realize this is a scam.

I didn’t lose any money, nor did I give any more personal info. I want to report this. Because what was received in the mail, was very misleading.

A highly generic notice regarding an expired home warranty. Postal mark says "First-Class Mail Presorted U.S. Postage Paid Dallas, TX Permit No. 2650"

- Columbus, OH, USA • Apr 22, 2025

Same as others have reported. 4x5.5 inch white card claiming to be notifying you as the homeowner of a lapsing warranty, that if ignored could result in pricey repairs and/or product replacement. Should be easy to spot as a scam, moreso if like me you rent an apartment.

- Berlin, MD, USA • Apr 21, 2025

Just a weird post card claiming some kind of warranty that doesn't exist. I suspect it may be part of a mortgage scam too.

One side of postcard states "County Deed Records", the other side "Home Warranty Division" both sides have the same information, showing address, previous owners name, giving a registration ID and PIN, stating must contact to not have lapse in coverage.

- Abbot, ME, USA • Apr 15, 2025

It is a postcard that looks fairly close to something that the County that we live in may send out. However, the component that they are talking about that needs to be registered is nonexistent at our home. We do not have any Mechanical systems that would need to have a warranty on them in this old farm house.

First Class Mail Presorted US Postage Paid St. Lois MO Permit No 1999.
