We saw an advertisement for a puppy. We communicated with seller via email and texts everything seemed normal so we paid through PayPal $750. She provided a receipt . Then the shipping came into play, we spoke to someone with an accent, it was from an email and website that seemed legit. He asked for $1499 for a crate rental and that we would be refunded. I spoke to seller she said it was normal we paid it through Zelle. Then he called again and asked for $1,999 to pay for pet insurance again it would be refunded. I told seller this didn’t seem right and according to her she paid $999 and for us to pay $1,000. I was very skeptical and should’ve listened to my gut but my husband insisted it was fine. We paid but cancelled the transactions. I asked the seller for $750, and the “company for the $2,499”. I have all emails and texts saved.
