Yellow Directory Pages Reports & Reviews (36)

This company sends out fake invoices all the time. It says you owe a certain amount for your advertising. Usually that amount is around $498. They supply and account number as well and the statement says that a 1.9% interest fee on late payments. When you call the phone number on the invoice it will always go to voicemail and you will never be able to speak to anyone. This invoice address on the one we received was out of Los Angelos, CA, but I have seen different addresses in the past.

received invoice through USPS mail

YELLOW PAGE LISTING SCAM

We have received numerous invoices from "Yellow Business Directory". I even tried to contact them by phone and of course heard nothing back about why we were getting this huge bill. For quite awhile I thought that this was legitimate, until I found the information about this particular scam on the internet.

- Tucson, AZ, USA

We are a business and know all of our bills. So when this came in the mail I didnt understand how we got a bill. I tried to call and the recording was automated and not professional, they didnt answer and was asked to leave message. And the bill didnt have any website info or email address. I googled the address and no company info came up.

mailed letter invoice for 2 years bold listing $498.87

I have not been in business for 9 months, so there could not have been any phone call to justify the invoice.

Pathetic attempt to send bill for 498.81. I have seen similar "bills" before with the caveat in fine print that it is an advertisement. No disclaimer on this one.

Realistic looking Invoice received requesting payment of 498.81 for a "two year BOLD listing."

- Renton, WA, USA

Typical "Yellow Pages" fake invoice scam. Fake invoice shows up showing a "transaction date." Implication is that business had a "free listing" for previous 2 years and now ordered a Two Year BOLD listing for $498.97. 1.9% interest fee on "late payments" is threatened. NO required warning that this is not an actual invoice and a solicitation, as required by law. Address is a Postal Mail Box storefront, phone number is associated with multiple types of these operations over the years. This address appears to be an unreported one, so reporting now.

Received an invoice in the mail asking me to pay for a 2-year bold listing for $493.83 due in 2 weeks from me receiving it. I called their number and only got a recording. I left message to remove my listing information because I never signed up for this. The invoice had the branding/logo of the "walking fingers" of the real yellow pages.

bill sent to my company in the name of the previous owner. I have owned business for 7 years and bill is for two years of advertising in yellow directory pages. I have never advertised in any yellow page companies. Definitely not sending any money.

I received an envelope in the mail today from Yellow Directory Pages for a bill that is $498.86. It is saying I purchased the 2 year bold directory. I have never heard of this business and have never been in contact with them before. I have read some reviews and it seems as though this business has many locations all trying to scam individuals. They are trying to scare consumers into paying for these fake services. They need to be shut down.

- Olympia, WA, USA

I am reporting a scam. I received a "bill" for $498.83 from this "company". This company has no presence on the internet at all, and appears not to exist. The bill is for a "listing" in an unspecified--and probably nonexistent directory. The listing information is correct, as to my current name and address. The category, "Physicians & Surgeons" is not correct, since I retired over 14 years ago, and had a different practice address. I state without equivocation that I have never solicited or approved of any listing of any kind in any directory at any time. This is a scam. I am attaching a copy of the "bill". I hope it helps to prosecute these felons.

- Lancaster, PA, USA

Received a 1 page "invoice" by Yellow Directory Pages. There is even a walking finger symbol in the upper left of the invoice to make it look like the real yellow pages. It lists several bogus transaction dates to set up a listing. It makes it appear that I contracted them for a directory listing as a physician and the charges for 1 year would be $498.81 and $714.81 for 2 years. There are many complaints similar to this. It is a scam hoping you will send the money without thinking about it.

- Roseburg, OR, USA

Yellow Directory Pages scam with the logo of fingers walking. I'm pretty sure this is one that keeps going around, just with an altered name.

We received bogus invoice for $*** to be listed in the "Yellow Directory Pages" for 1 year.

- Wilmington, IL, USA

We do not pay to advertise. I received an invoice from "YELLOW DIRECTORY PAGES". The number on the invoice says "TOLL 866-455-2779". I was on hold for a long while, then I figured that is how they get you, leaving you on hold at 9.99 a minute. I hung up and called the real Yellow Pages Directory. They confirmed it was not their invoice. Hung up. Filed Complaint.

- Kansas City, MO, USA

This scam is already listed for others. I wanted to update that this scam is still being used. I never received a phone call from Yellow Directory Pages to confirm my address, and there is not even a business phone here that they would have called. I am a small annex office of a large health system. I did call the toll free number and asked to be removed from their listing. I actually have no idea how they got my contact information!

The bill was for 497.86 with an interest charge listed as 19,12000%

- Manhattan, IL, USA

Beware fake invoices for adds not placed. I called # and went into v-mail for customer service. Lol how stupid are these crooks?
