Xfinity impostor scam Reports & Reviews (1)

- Fort Pierce, FL, USA

The scammer told me he was employed by Xfinity He identified himself as "Calvin Hayden". He wanted to speak to me about a special promotion they were having with Target. He said my monthly bill would be cut in half for 3 years, but the first year would have to be paid in full using two (2) Target gift cards. He sent me an invoice which I did not pay. He called me back and said we had a contract and I would have to pay a $100 cancellation fee. He said he would charge it to one of the two credit cards he had on file. I asked him to tell me which credit cards he had. He didn't answer my question. He now has my email address and telephone number. I have blocked the telephone numbers he used to call me. I am checking my credit card and checking accounts daily to make sure there are no strange debits. As of today there are none. The scammer had a Chinese accent.
