I called Xfinity and they transferred me to someone who said I am from Egypt and I am speaking to you from inside Egypt and you have money that must be paid to two different accounts and the payment is to another person who did not pay the internet

stated he was from Xfinity and offering a "Target Promotion". They were offering 50% discount on our bill for 6 months. My husband was drawn into the scam. They kept him on the phone until it was completed. Target wouldn't give that large amount and rejected the sale. They then said to go too Kroger and get Target cards. He did. Then they asked for the gift card numbers which they said didn't go through, so my husband went back and tried again, then he was told to go to Meijer to get them. Meijer would gave him the 1st $690, but after he gave them the #'s they said that didn't go through either. He tried again...that time Meijer declined it.

They called and left a message on my phone saying they would cut my bill in half but I had to prepay for 6 months, or get a bigger discount if I prepaid for 12 months. They sent an email with PDFs attached but I didn't open them

Janice from Xfinity Executive Services called me and wanted to talk to my mother, who was previously scammed by TX Services posing as Xfinity. I am a co-owner on the account. The original call to me came this morning from 888-934-6489. Her personal number is 720-750-8622. I called her back 2 hours ago and haven't received a call-back. I believe these people are taking advantage of the elderly (my mother is 88 years old) and pretending that they are affiliated with Xfinity/Comcast.

Caller said he was from my internet service and that my service was being hacked by numerous numbers in Nigeria. In order to help me identify the numbers they were calling from in order to report fraud to the authorities he needed my Apple password which I didn’t give him. He then said I needed to go to a website called AskDesk. I did and then he asked me to type in commands which I did twice; but then I felt uneasy and began to ask him questions. He got aggravated with me quickly and when I asked him if this was going to cost me anything he stated that he would discuss that with me at the end of our conversation depending on what he found. I hung up at that point. Hopefully he wasn’t able to access my personal info.

xfinitiy called about a promotion that required me to pre-pay for 6 months, after a long phone call with thier guy Mark he gave me an authorization code and phone number i needed to call. i said thank you and hung up to call other number.. 4 times while i was waiting to talk to new xfinity guy he kept calling and calling so finally i answered and said loudly "WHAT?" as i had already spend too much time with this guy and was just trying to finalize this. Next thing i know he leaves me a voicemail, that i still have, telling me because i raised my voice he cancelled the promotion, which i did not care, but that he was charging me $599 and suspending my account. this seems illegal i have the voicemail. why does he think he can charge me for nothing.. extortion comes to my mind

Internet Fraud claim

On Sept 20th , 2023....I was looking for internet service for my apartment, I checked google and a link showing Xfinity as vendor poped up, showing a phone number # 240-751-4101 to call to request new service nstallation. I called that number to request XFINITY INTERNET service, the person who answered my phone call was Kevin Delgado, introducing himself as a XFINITY representative, when I asked for info about XFINITY INTERNET service only, his first respond was "WE HAVE A GREAT SPECIAL INTERNET PLAN for your house", a high speed internet service for $79.99 USD, that was high speed internet for $35.00 , plus a Home Security plan for $44.99 , for a big total of $79.99 USD monthly. My inmediate answer was I DONT NEED HOME SECURITY PLAN, because I live in a very small apartment....All I need is INTERNET ONLY !!..Please give me a service for INTERNET ONLY !!.

In that moment Kevin Delgado changed his voice tone, and very aggresively he replied....If you refuse our HOME SECURITY plan, you will pay for internet only a lot more , you will pay $114.99 monthly !! He insisted this statement several times as a threat, forcing me to accept his so called special plan of $79.99 USD for internet and home security plan. He made me think that I was trapped and my only choice was to opt in for special service of $79.99 USD for 60 months contract....I accepted and provide him with my personal and financial info to pay for the plan and finally have service in my apartment..

About a month when later, when I received my first invoice from XFINITY , I saw discrepancies on my first intenet bill, I went in person to the nearest XFINITY office in my area, to discuss the billing discrepancies, and that moment is when I found out that Kevin Delgado and the company called SAFE HOME SECURITY are NOT part of XFINITY or any service that XFINITY offers. Even more, the XFINITY agent acknowledge inmediately that this was a FRAUD, a fraudulent transaction , urgent me to report the fraud to the police and proper authorities... I already filed a complaint with MDPD Miami Dade Police Deparment, case # PD230323094559 and with Equifax credit bureau, Dispute report # 4074610887, .... this situation has also a negative impact on my credit score. I am victim of an extorsion and fraudulent practice by this company Safe Home Security.

I demand the restoration of my credit report and the immediate void of such fraudulent contract for security services. Please file my complaint ASAP and let me know my calim or report number to keep it in my records.

Thank you.

I looked up Xfinity in Google and called the first number that came up. A man with a foreign anccent answered “Xfinity” and I told him I was trying to lower my bill. He asked me for my phone number and then I received a text message with an Xfinity verification code. He asked me to provide it to him and I did. Then he told me I would need to pay my current amount due first (over $200) with a credit card over the phone. I had already sent the payment in and told them that I have never paid with a credit card before. Then I realized something must be off and I hung up. Awful.

Just had a call from these Jokers reporting to be from Xfinity tech support? They enquired if someone had recently lowered the security settings on my modem recently? I then replied that I use my own modem with hardline firewall and asked why they were calling me from India? They hung up as soon as they could after that? Seems to be the old trick of making you give them remote access to the computer! Number has been blocked and reported to Xfinity.

Phone call and voicemail to my phone said they were from Xfinity Comcast and it sounded exactly like a customer service rep voicemail. Said Target was sponsoring a promotion with Xfinity Comcast and I could reduce my monthly bill by 50%. He said Xfinity would pay my most recent bill of $171.16 and I had to pay the next 6 months up front. He (didn't understand his name, but he had an Indian accent) said that would be $85 times 6 months which equaled $510. He already knew my Xfinity balance and told me call the xfinity number he gave me and see that my balance was zero. I did that and he was correct. So I believed him to be with Xfinity. Since Target was sponsoring this, I was to go to a Target store or any store that sells Target gift cards and buy $510 worth of gift cards. I told him I wanted to cancel, that wasn't part of the initial conversation. He said if I cancelled, I would be charged $395. So I bought the Target gift cards at a Stop and Shop in Bethel, CT. The next day, August 11, I got a call from the same 800 number, but a different person named Kevin Thomas with an Irish accent, said my card had been denied and I needed to buy another $510 of gift cards from Target. He said I would receive a bank check from Target for $610 to cover the first two cards I bought and an extra $100 for their mistake. I was visiting family on Cape Cod and went to a Target store in Hynannis, Massachusetts and did the same thing. Kevin Thomas told me those cards didn't go through and to do it again, and I would now be reimbursed for $1120, which I did. So in total, I bought $1530 worth of Target gift cards. When Kevin Thomas told the second batch was denied because Target could only write a check in the amount of $2500, he said I should go back to Target and buy another $1000 worth of gift cards so Target could reimburse me for the amount I was owed. At this point, I knew I was scammed and didn't buy another $1000 worth of gift cards. But I did file a police report with the Bethel police department, filed a report with Target customer security/fraud and contacted my bank. It turns out that my August 10th xfinity bill was paid by someone else's checkbook and bank. All my other xfinity bills prior to August 10th were paid by my credit card, which has since been cut up/discontinued. The problem is that Xfinity Comcast has a flawed business practice. They allow anyone to pay a bill from anywhere online without SIGNING IN! All the person needs is a phone number and address. So the scammer had my phone number and address, access to my Xfinity account, paid the August 10 bill with their checkbook ending in the numbers 3587 to get my account to zero so I would be led to believe they were actually customer service reps from Xfinity. This is a horrible business practice and needs to stop immediately. Xfinity has put every one of their customer's at risk by allowing online access to pay a bill without actually signing in to one's account.
