This company offered me a data entry job. Work from my home. The Only person I had contact with was the "head of HR" Kaitlyn Palmer. Pretty soon into it she had me buying apple gift cards for "software" i would need for the job. Now she will not answer any messages on Skype or her emails

Text #2: I am Meilee Gent from Enpro Industries. After reviewing your resume we where impress, you have been selected for an interview regarding the available position in our company. The pay is ($26/hr) Kindly reply with”YES I AM” if you are interested and ready to proceed further with the next steps alright. Thanks.

I saw on YouTube an advertisement for a work at home job

I ordered the info pack for 37.00. When the product did not come,, I repeatedly called and texted the company.. one month later I received the info,, but did not pursue the job.. Two months later, (yesterday) they hit my account for 291.64. I did not authorize any further info on the work at home company, because it involves marketing, something I was not interested in doing. When I tried to call the number, it says it has been disconnected.

Below is the email I received. This email is almost identical to an email I received where I spent almost 2 hours on a Microsoft Team Chat where I finally determined that it was a job scam when they would not show their face or talk on the phone. When they made the comment about "how well you handle the money we send you", a red flag appeared!

a lady names emily mcneil messaged me on skype about a job i applied for on indeed, she sent me a business check in the mail and it bounced a week later they overdrafted my credit card and locked it took a total of 800 dollars from me.

I was sent a text regarding a job offer. They advised that I needed to download the Telegram app and schedule an interview and briefing regarding a remote job. They said they were opening a warehouse in Concord, NC and were hiring for that. they conducted an interview over IM with the Telegram app. I was to contact @Jans_Webasto which I did and an interview took place. They asked normal interview questions. When the interview was over they asked me to wait about 15 minutes for a review to be done of my answers. They then offered me the job and asked if I wanted to get paid weekly or bi-weekly. I advised weekly. They then asked what bank I used so they could see if it tallies with the company's official salary payment accounts. I told them I wasn't comfortable with that and they never responded. I have attached a copy.

I started school full time 01/03/23 so I know I haven't put applications in recently since then because I've been focused on that. So when I received this text message :

Hello, ******* We appreciate your interest in the position of REMOTE HEALTH/ COPY WELLNESS MANAGER , GI Group is who we are. Out of a huge pool of candidates, we chose you because of the inventiveness of your resume, your area of expertise, and your work history. We are happy to let you know that your resume caught our attention and that we would like to invite you for an interview. Additionally, this job is entirely remote.

We sincerely hope that you are interested in working with us and I would ask you to get back to me by responding to this message regarding the next steps and your ultimate decision.

I thought it was a little strange and started looking into the company. I noticed the website has only been active since 2022 and is based out of Italy. So then looking through ScamPulse.com scams I found after searching the business name at least 1 report on them on each page. I found when you reply this is the second text message they send you:

Kindly send a text message to the interviewer, Mr. Jacopo Gino (GI Group), via his Signal Messenger profile using the phone number (+1(731) 613-4274), which can be used to contact him for the full job description. Visit your app store or play store, download Signal Private Messenger, and create an account if you don't already have one. GI Group will handle the interview process and job duties. Thanks LinkedIn profile https://www.linkedin.com/in/jacopogino"

No reputable employer is going to want you to contact them through "Signal" "Telegraph" or any of those side messaging apps especially when they haven't even spoken to you in the phone first.

Offered the remote job. Deposited 2150.00 in my account to pay different vendors for office equipment. It hasn’t gone any farther yet. There have been three of these Zelle. Nothing from my personal money as of yet.

I was offered a job in which to get paid 3250 during 30 day probation period first paycheck to be granted 01/5 and I have yet to receive a check. My social security was provided all my personal information was given as well. First check they stated it was mailed out but maybe got lost in the mail so they voided that check and I have yet to receive it.

I had recently put my resume on some websites to look for a remote data entry job. I received a text message 1/21/23 from someone named Allison Walter stating she is the head of hiring recruiters dept at Enpro Industries Company. She asked me to get on the app called Signal to have an interview through text in there. She said they were going to send me a check to buy some computer software on a website they work with regularly. The only info I gave them of my personal was the name of my bank-i gave them zero info about my act there, and my home address, phone number. She said they would be emailing me with paperwork that needs to be filled out for taxes and such(I have no received an email yet), and I would need to log back in to the Signal app on Monday morning to start work.

I was contacted about a supposed online job offer through a company FRABA B.V. based out of Germany for an online Administrative Assistant job. The company only ever communicated with me through email and Zoom chat. That made me suspicious but I still completed 2 days worth of “Training Tasks”. Then the company sent me a check through FedEx for the amount of $4,811.00 for equipment and supplies. The check came from Tennessee, not Germany. It was also from a bank in Oklahoma. The bank name was spelled incorrectly on the bottom left of the check by just one letter. I looked up a Customer Service number for the bank in Oklahoma and called them to verify the check. After giving, the representative the necessary information from the check, she told me she was unable to verify funds at this time for the account in question. SCAM!!!! I’m putting this information on here to warn people about this and to tell them to be careful because if I would’ve gone and deposited the check, I could have had to pay that money back and I don’t want someone else to have to go through that. I was lucky and my intuition told me to check the validity of the check. It looked real all but the minor spelling mistake so be careful, especially when applying for online employment.

I was contacted by a Mrs. Emily Martin via text stating she is part of the recruitment team from Alliance Pharma PLC and viewed my resume on Zip Recruiter for Administrative Assistant/Date Entry, Full Time/Part-Time for $35 per hour. I replied "yes" and was sent another text that stated "This is in regard to the vacant position of Project manager, Receptionist, Front desk clerk, Customer Service, Data Entry, and Administrative Assistant, positions in which we are in search of an immediate refill, training is available. This is also a remote job and I believe you have no problem working remotely". The next text stated they would like to conduct an interview right now if possible online over Microsoft Teams app with instructions to install the app. The next text stated the hiring manager contacted me via teams ([email protected]). Upon contact via Teams, John proceeded to conduct an interview via asking questions and having me write an answer then type DONE after each question in one set and OK with the other set. Told me to hold online for 20 minutes as he had to have someone in HR review our conversation and when he came back said I scored at an 85% out of a 100% with above average responses and offered me the job. I asked if there was an offer letter and he said it would be sent to me tomorrow morning but wanted my personal information such as address, phone numbers, etc and I said I did not feel comfortable providing it on Teams so he asked me to send to his email [email protected], which I did not send. Proceeded to tell me I was going to be getting a brand new MacAir Book and would need to download software and programs on it once I received it and the company would send me a check via USPS or Fedex for the cost of all the software and programs. I asked if the total was around $4700 and he said yes - as to which I knew for sure was a scam - along with telling me I would be working fully remote but given a company car after 60 days. This was the response from John Marcus regarding the $4700 - "The funds are coming through for you to get your legal signup bonus and also for you to make the payment directly to the vendor because all receipts and tellers are always kept in records for payroll analysis in the accounts department for all workers. Having your direct contact details will also enable the vendor to assist you with support when necessary. It will be easier to get supplies in the future or upgrades when necessary." Also asked me for my bank information so he could ensure that my bank worked financially with Company Funding Schemes, I did not provide the information just said my bank accepts direct deposit. Do not fall for this scam.
