June 2016 my husband bought a anti virus support service from Wintech PC Services online. In the last few weeks they’ve been calling leaving messages saying they were going out of business. The message stated we were eligible for a refund. My husband called and they said we would be getting a refund of 488.00 back. The man ask for my husbands online banking and ask him to login. He told them he didn’t do online banking. He pulled my husband bank up online say isn’t this your bank. My husband said yes but I don’t do online banking. (I had just came in from a long day at work)So I ask him why can’t you mail us the check? He then quickly said ok do you have Western Union I said yes we do. I filled out the form for my husband it required a card # I ask why did I need to put my number in he said so it can go directly in your account. This is when he reversed everything on the form the money going to where he was. We couldn’t see what he was doing . So when I got the code for Western Union and punch it in he made the reverse. The number they used for us to call was 1-845-951-1048 the name they used that picoked up the-money Bonnie P Phipps ( probably fake) *we couldn’t see any of this until the next day in our emails. My bank showed San Francisco California withdrawal from Western Union. The call shows coming from Poughkeepsie,NY My husband called back the next day and they tried to scam him again.
