Type of a scam Online Purchase
Whilst looking on google I noticed this website at the top of the search results (ad). The website seemed legit, offering beautiful puppies, claiming to be AKC registered. What’s more they will ship the puppies globally for only $200 (at-least that’s what they quoted me).
I emailed via their contact form regarding a puppy I liked. They promptly responded, confirming puppy available and returned some questions wanting to know if I’d be a good owner. They also avoided my question of where are they based.
I replied with relevant information. To which they replied with terms of buying the puppy, shipping etc. They used time based tactics regarding delivery ‘50% off shipping if shipped today’.
By this point they had supplied an address and cell number. This enabled me to do a bit of digging. I couldn’t find any reference to them on the American Kennel Club, nor anywhere else on the internet. After looking up the address I found it to belong to a foreign sounding name, far from Wendy anyway.
At this point I called the number, of course a foreign sounding male answered very sheepishly. I asked him to provide a photo of the puppy with its parents, and a registration num for AKC, any legit breeder should be able to do this. All he wanted was to get off the phone and for me to email over the questions.
Anyway to round things off, I searched the cell number and found a website with 2 negative reports relating to people paying for puppies they never received. Under a different web domain, something like auspuppies.net.
