Viva Vaction Clubs Reports & Reviews (1)

- Florence, AL, USA

Company whose representatives claim the name of their company is Viva Vacation Clubs called using a local spoofed number. When I answered the prerecorded message suggest it’s a call from the Marriott (I am a frequent traveler and stay in Marriott properties around the US.) I accept the call. I hear a ringing transfer and someone answers and thanks me for contacting Viva Vacation Club. I knew immediately this was not something I was interested in, and likely a scam. However for the sake of hearing their “sales pitch” I listen for entertainment purposes. They go on to offer a luxury 6 day 5 night all inclusive vacation for 2 adults and 2 children under 12 to a resort in Cancun. The only ‘catch’ is you have to take a tour of the resort and pay a $99 resort fee. (Hmm) So the conversation goes on and I tell Them that I am really not interested in the offer. The representative then it bothers me he’s been authorized to throw in another trip for a luxury all-inclusive trip for two adults and two children under the age of 12 for an additional five nights in six days to the Caribbean. At this time they mentioned that the Vacations are valued at over $3500 but I have been approved for a promotion that would bring the price to $999. I will also have to pay the resort fee of $99 at each resort. And if I want to travel during peak season I will have to pay another $149, per resort. They ask if it sounds good to me and I’m ready to proceed with booking I let them know I’m not interested in actually booking, that I was inquiring about information. I then began getting questioned about why I’m not willing to book right away after a five-minute phone call. I stated that number one I’m not looking to plan a trip to either of those locations and two I do not have any knowledge of the resorts That they are asking me if I wanted to be paid to stay yet. I told him I’m not looking to buy a time share and he tries to convince me that he’s not selling timeshares he selling a service through their vacation club. I become agitated with the conversation because I can barely understand the guy and simply asked to be removed from the calling list. I imagine that this is not an actual offer based on other reviews of the Viva vacation club search on the web that I did after the call ended. Consumers beware! Do your research. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. I do not know of any resort that is willing to offer an all-inclusive trip including airfare for four people for five nights in six days including airfare for approximately $500 per vacation. There are good deals out there but this is not one of them.
