Hacked computer claimed it was shut down by virus. Called phone on message and they wanted immediate payment via direct access to checking account. We refused to do that and mailed a check certified mail. We couldn't find Velli. The address is a UPS store. USA Repair Service is in Park Ciy, UT. We concluded this is a scam and closed bank account and stopped payment. Had our IT guy in Layton clean up the desktop. Velli called today and was abusive. They demand payment of $1000 claiming this was a dedicated contract and cannot be resold. There was no contract signed or implied. We do not want to pay $1000 just to shut them up. Which probably will not shut them up anyway.

No major amount taken but the person I spoke to would not give his name, he sounded Indian from India possibly. This person tried to say that my partner owed their company 8000 dollars and later said he owed 2000 dollars. Ronald the person scammed is a 75 year old Veteran with a hearing impairment. Ronald only used the service one time for what Ron thought was a virus, Ron paid the 119 dollars. Ron received a cell phone call from these people and Ron told them he was no longer interested in their service, They tried to say that Ron owed them 8000 dollars, There is no contract showing any sort of agreement for a long term service. These people try to threaten older people for financial gain. This is disgusting. The original order was dated on 9/20/2021. I can be reached at [email protected] or call me at 909-490-2206.
