My mother was looking to get an Estate EIN after my father recently passed away.

She went to this website thinking it was an actual IRS website. As they have a logo at the top of the page that makes it look like the real IRS page she thought she was in the correct place. She was not. They charged her $249.00 for what is normally free from the IRS. Plus they collected her SSN, my deceased fathers EIN and if they actually filed for an Estate EIN now have the information also.
