Threatening phone calls from 716-200-4948. Said they were calling for the U S Treasury. Said we had a Federal Criminal Offense and a law suit was being filed. Said the local sheriff would be around to arrest us. If we did not respond by a call back all they could do was wish us good luck.

We know this is a scam. We don't owe anyone anything. We are seniors and are sure they are targeting seniors. If there is any way to stop them before they scam other people, it would surely be nice. We periodically receive calls like this. We do not answer the phone. They leave messages.

There was a call this morning that went to voicemail from a man calling himself James Caston. He said this is an enforcement action executed by the US Treasury. He said that ignoring this could cause me to go before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense. I looked up his location and it came from Avalon NJ. The number was 1-609-961-1439.

I returned call, but hung up quickly. There was not much conversation.

He said his name was Ken Peterson. The voice message was in thick accent, but he said it was an action by the United States Treasury and ignoring this will be an intentional 2nd attempt to avoid appearance before a Magistrate Judge or a Grand Jury for a Criminal Offense. He has called me several times before. September 02, 2015 he was David Grey @ 757-694-0279. September 8, 2015 he was Dennis Grey @ 540-699-1529. Today he was Ken Peterson @ 585-219-1557. He thinks the number is a residence, but is a business number.
