US Tech Support - IMPOSTER Reports & Reviews (2)

I received an email saying they were automatically renewing my service. Call this number 408-608-0751 if you do not wish to renew. I called and they said they would need my card number to refund. After an hour I felt it was a scam and hung up snd called my bank. They had taken 500$ out of my account. My bank, Wells Fargo replaced the money and started and started an investigation. I had looked online and the company got positive reviews abd the ScamPulse.com seal. However, I did not check the phone number which was different. I thought it was a legit business. There is a legit US Tech Support but the scam company has copied everything looking legit. I just don’t want anyone else to be scammed. BEWARE.

I was called several times on both Dec. 10 and 11. The location of the first two calls was listed as Cherokee, OK. The location of other calls was San Jose, CA. (I also retuned several calls.) They said they were calling me as a courtesy before they renewed my auto renewal for computer tech services. They said I paid $599 for the first year and now wanted to know if I wanted to renew. At first, I thought they were the same scammers who scammed me of $599 in April 2021. However, it was slowly revealed that they claimed I had bought security services in 2019 for $599 with provisions for a yearly automatic renewal of $1,500 ever year. I never made this payment. (They put on my computer a document about this agreement dated Jan. 11, 2019 which is attached) They had not deducted the renewal fee of the second year, and now they were calling to see if I wanted to renew for the third year. Of course, I said no. They said I could cancel years 3, 4, & 5, but first I would have to clear my account for the year 2 ($1500.) It was becoming very clear this was scam. They had my name, address, phone number, and email address. They claimed to have a Mastercard credit card on file for the auto payment. On Friday, Dec. 10, I put them off a day. That evening I called and cancelled the Mastercard number. The next day they called me 6 or 7 times and left voice mails, but I did not answer or respond.

They gave me several different names of their company: Global US Tech Support, Web Security Expert (in an e-mail they sent me), and Gigabyte Solutions Corporation, 13340, Ashbank Court, Riverview, FL 33579 (on an invoice they e-mailed me.) I don't know if there is connection with the group that scammed me out of $599 in April 2021, but it seems very similar. Their information is Web Network Expert, 4421 Woodbridge Ave., Edison, NJ 08817 (phone: 1-844-304-0838/email: support/wnexpert.com). The charge on my card was made by Zest Technology in Spain. (Transaction was made in Euros then converted into dollars.) This was the only time I have lost money in this kind of scam.
