Paid this gentleman Ryan $2,000 to do repair work under our home. Work was supposedly done, decontamination of mold was done, and he was supposed to come back in a week and clean out our vents. Service was done over five weeks ago no one will return our phone calls or our texts and no one has come out to clean our vents. Stay away from this company exclamation exclamation

This James Parler posted an advertisement on a local page for a discounted price on Air Duct/Vent cleaning. I bit... asked him how much? He asked other sq footage of my home and then quoted me a price of $189. I told him ok, PM’d him my number and he PM’d me back saying he had availability on June 4th (less than a week away) and that his Technician would call me the day before and give me a specific time. I then went to look at his FB Profile, it was very bare, clicked on his business link USDuctcare.com and it’s a legitimate business, I legitimate page... but they don’t have a location listed in my State (NC)! Nice try!

Responded to FB post for dryer vent/air duct cleaning service, US Duct Care on 30Sep and made appointment for 10am on 9Oct. Ryan Himstedt showed up 4:45pm on 9Oct and claimed we had mold, needed to replace air ducts, install vapor barrier and UV lights. He said he would spray the mold that night and return 9am on 13Oct to do the recommended services. He required 50% deposit ($2125 paid via paypal to "his wife" [email protected]) Our HVAC system did not work after he left; called a verified local HVAC company 10Oct to inspect; found damage to system that was repaired (parts disconnected, slits cut into duct work). HVAC company also stated duct work did not need to be replaced and there was not a mold issue under our home.

Learned online that Ryan Himstedt and Jonathan Tager run a duct cleaning business using multiple names: SE Air Quality Experts, US Duct Care, Southeast Air Care, Southeast Home Pros, Southern Duct Systems, etc and have history in NC of a scam duct cleaning business. ScamPulse.com complaints filed in Greensboro and local news channels.

Would like to see this "business" shut down - warn others not to use them.
