I saw an ad on Instagram for On Running shoes, which I see often on my feed. It stated for "today only" select shoe styles would be $39.98. The scam website looked the exact same to the original On Running site and even had the same shoe styles with legitimate photos. I did not think it odd that certain shoe styles were on sale, as On Running currently has these same shoes for reduced prices as they are "last season." It wasn't until my payment was processed, and I received an alert via Capital One for an international charge, that I knew I was scammed.

Type of a scam Online Purchase

I was searching online for a mobility scooter when I saw an add for this scooter on Instagram. It said it was a limited time only overstock sale. It did look "too good to be true," but I ordered it anyway. All was fine until I checked delivery status and it said my scooter was delivered to an address in Texas when I live in California. I contacted them through email and got "canned" responses back for a few exchanges before it stopped. Ex: "Please confirm your shipping address." "Please allow us 3-5 more days to investigate." I never got the scooter.
