Scammer telephoned my cell phone stating they were AT&T with a special offer to lower monthly bill. When I returned the call, the CSR said that Apple and AT&T were having a promotion for senior citizens, the monthly bill would be about 1/3 of what we currently are paying, and I was to purchase an Apple gift card to make payment for the initial 4 months: $480.00. I purchased a gift card and called them back with the number on the card (which they cashed, of course). Then, they said there was a problem, that i should have purchase 2 gift cards, each in amount of $240.00 and they would refund the initial $420.00. So, I went back to the store, purchased 2 gift cards, and gave them the numbers. Finally, they said there was a problem yet again, I said I was not going to the store a 3rd time and wanted to receive a refund. They said I could not get a refund until I paid yet again. I talked with 4 different men, order taker, supervisor, manager for SE USA, and finally the head person (supposedly) - each of whom appeared to have the same Indian (as in the country India) accent.
