I went to their website not knowing it was a third party scamming site until after I spoke with the National Information Center on 10/5/26. I told them what was done, they suggested me to call the third party and let them know I had been scammed out of $183.55. I did speak with them and got no where with them due to language barriers. I submitted their application online. The National Information Center told me to contact my bank about trying to resolve this issue with my account. They told me what I actually needed to do after they sent me the correct application by mail on 10/5/26. Passport Services sold me an online execution for a passport name change which legally requires the physical submission of original documents, which I was never asked for. This service can not be physically or legally rendered. It has to be done at a local post office.

They promise to provide assistance with passport application. They charge you for full amount then send you just the free paperwork with a footnote that you will still need to pay for what you just thought you'd paid for. Mind you, that's after you've provided them sensitive information.

This business appears as a government agency but is a third party company that charges astronomical fees for free forms. Do not make a mistake for the travel.gov site!! This is a total scam!!!! Now I'm worried that my entire family's identity is compromised!

United Passport (unitedpassport.com) is fraudulently posing as a government passport agency, requesting sensitive information despite not being able to complete actual passport orders. I believed this was a real US government website as it is the first thing that comes up on Google and intentionally is deceptive in branding/font/colors, and provided them sensitive information for my daughter. I am devastated.

This website is Sponsored on Google, so it is one of the first results for the search "Passport Application." The website appears, at a glance, to be a legitimate government website; however, it is a private company that charges nearly $200 to send a printed passport application to you. Essentially, you are paying for nothing, as the application is free to print on the legitimate U.S. Government website. Further, cancellation is extremely difficult to accomplish on a timely basis. I accidentally placed my order at approximately 10:55 a.m., requested a cancellation before 11:00 a.m., and then received a "shipping notification" at 11:27 a.m. After calling customer service, I was told that they were able to retrieve the "package" and would process a refund, minus the $27 shipping cost. I plan to dispute the $27 shipping charge with my credit card company's help.

When researching how to update my passport after getting married to reflect a name change, I was directed to this website, which mimicked the official department of state website for passport renewals. It showed all the application information and looked as if you are just filling out the application online and paying to have it shipped to you once processed through the government. Only to see after payment was received did it clarify that they are only providing you with the application to send to the government for an additional $130 fee.

Attempted to renew passport. Google’s search engine took me directly to a government presenting website and charged almost 300$ for a service that was not provided. I tried to ask for a refund with no success. There is no phone number available on the website
