Type of a scam: Debt Collections

I have been getting multiple calls from different people from this so called company for the past few days, leaving very nasty voicemails, threatening to have me served a court summons at my place of work and at my residence over a loan that is due under my name. I have never taken out a loan with the company they are saying they are trying to collect for, that's how I know this is a scam. I called the number back, spoke with someone and when I asked him what address they had on file for me, he gave me an address I hadn't lived at for over 10 years. He did know the last 4 of my social, but that information isn't hard to get online nowadays. When I informed him that I do not live at that address and that I didn't feel comfortable with this phone call anyone he proceeded to tell me

"well that's the address you put on your loan last year, but I guess if you just want to settle this in court in front of a judge that's fine with me. They've already scheduled someone to come out and serve you so there probably isn't anything I can do anyways."

This is such a joke. These scammers are calling my family, blowing up my phone and blowing up my place of employment. These people need to be stopped.
