After job seeking and submitting over 50 job applications, I received an email regarding a job possibility with a legit company UDEMY. However, the recruiters were not legit. They preyed on the fact that I had been job seeking. They were unusually quick in their responses, repeatedly reminded to not call their offices, and offered a "legit" job offer. Where it became noticeable that it was fraudulent was that they sent a check for an unusually high amount of money to buy all the equipment necessary for the remote job. Additionally, once I started questioning things, the recruiter immediately threatened to tell "the others." Therefore, I stopped all contact immediately.
