Same as others have said - received an email about a VP level role for me asking for my resume. Sent it over, and quickly received a response that it wasn't CMS Friendly and that I needed to have it made compatible via a weblink. At that point I stopped communicating with them and started deeper research. They change the name of the company frequently, but they don't change the tactic. The email in question:

Sent: Monday, March 17, 2025 6:40 AM

Subject: In Search of Senior Vice President of Communication

Hi,

I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out to share a unique opportunity that I believe aligns perfectly with your expertise. One of our clients is seeking a Senior Vice President of Communication for a recently acquired company, and your name was highly recommended by a third-party agency.

Given your impressive background, I’m confident you’d be an excellent fit for this role. If you’re interested, please reply to this email with your resume, and I’ll coordinate with our client to provide more details on the next steps. Please note that there are no fees or charges for candidates.

An "Emma Stroede" from 'Top Executive Recruiter emailed me about a Director of Project Management role for a confidential company and requested my resume. Email 1 from "Emma": "Hi, I hope you are doing well as I write this. Currently, one of our clients is looking for a Director of Project Management to join their team in a recently acquired company, and after looking at your profile, I believe your background would be a perfect fit. Please respond to this email with your resume if you are interested. I would love to speak with you further about this opportunity and provide you with more information about the company after the initial client process. Looking forward to your response! Best regards, Emma Stroede Head of HR" I responded with my resume and phone number to contact me. Email 2 from "Emma": "Your experience is aligned with the role, but your resume is not ATS-friendly. Kindly adapt your resume to be ATS-friendly as I need it asap. For creating an ATS friendly resume, please visit https://atscompliantresume.com/ For now, precise details about the role and our client are under wraps due to confidentiality protocols. Once we align our schedules, I’ll shed more light on this. I’ll review my calendar and circle back with potential timelines for our continued discussion. Regards, Emma Stroede." I responsed with an updated ATS formatted resume I completed misled. Email 3 from "Emma" "This did not work as well. Unfortunately, the issue is not related to the file format. As mentioned in my previous email, your resume needs to be optimized for ATS. Please use the recommended website to optimize your CV and resend it to me. Regards, Emma Stroede. The website requires you to spend $17 but I learned this is a scam when I researched the web and found a similar person reported it to the ScamPulse.com
