I am constantly getting text messages that I have an unpaid EZpass toll. Sometimes it’s a text message from a number or an Outlook or Hotmail email address. I did not hit the link or respond back.

I received a text with a document saying I went through a pay toll without paying. It states I need to pay the fine or face a list of 4 consequences. There's a weird symbol in the last paragraph.

I received a 3 text messages in a row including the following information, “NYTollServices: Your invoice of $3.49 is now due. Visit https://nytollinvoice.com to make your payment and avoid a late fee of $49.39“ and did not click anything and would just like to make others aware.

I received 2 different letters from these scammers claiming to be with the New Jersey Turnpike Authority in New York City. They first requested me to send them 5.00 in the first letter and the second letter they requested 30.00 to be sent in to them by check, money order or a debit card. They will not answer my phone call when I dial the number located on the request letter. It only ask for your method of payment. They will not put a live person on the phone nor will they describe in the letter what offense you have committed for receiving this request for payment.

There was a text message recieved by an unknown number prompting to click a http link to resolve a debt in Florida. After clicking the link your phone number and social security number is request to find your "toll balance"

They texted me about overdue balance on my Connecticut tolls. Since I do have an EZ Pass and was charged recently I thought it was legitimate. They asked for my license number and CC which I’ve already cancelled.
