As near as I can tell, I fell into a "pig butchering" scheme. It involved my sending money in the form of ETH andBTC to (likely cloned) Forex trading app called Tickmill from the website m.tickmillialk.cc. I was coached as to amount to sell or buy on that trading platform. I met this person on Facebook and we became friends over several months. All our communication was on the WhatsApp messaging app. I saved months of our communications there as that's where she instructed me to do the trades. I first noticed that I was being had when I said I wanted to withdraw funds. At that point I was told I had to pay 2005 income taxes on my "earnings" I even asked if I could withdraw my principle amount of funds ($8000) and was told even that could not be withdrawn without paying my taxes ($5000+) I know that that isn't how taxation works. I assume that the "Tickmill" platform is fake
