I recently refinanced a mortgage on my NJ home. The scammer must have obtained a copy of the recorded mortgage which I believe is a public record. The scammer sent me two post cards pretending to be my lender. In bold it stated IMPORTANT NOTICE: UNNEDUATE RESPONSE NEEDED. It was address to me and stated "This notice is regarding your mortgage with Third Federal Savings & Loan Association of Clevel. We need you to call us about an important matter regarding this loan. This is time sensitive so please call us at 833-370-3995 as soon as possible." I did not call the number and neither should anyone else.
