I filled out an application to become a mystery shopper. I received a check for $1998 and was instructed to cash the cashiers check, which look legitimate, and by *** gift cards scratch the pin numbers off and send photos and respond with customer service ratings. I was to keep $345 for myself for commission.

I called the bank that was on the check and it was not valid.

Text message to my mobile phone with a tiny.cc link to an employment application for a mystery shopper. The scam explains I will receive a check to complete a mystery shopper assignment, and I am to return unused funds. For each assignment, I am to receive payment of $300. The application looks legitimate, and the link says the company is ScamPulse.com approved, but it is not.
