Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to report a scam incident involving impersonation of support. I encountered a fraudulent message titled “Community Standards Violations,” which misled me into believing my account was at risk. The message directed me to call the number 855-554-3507 for assistance.

Upon calling, the individual falsely claimed to be a Facebook representative and attempted to extract sensitive information and payment under the pretense of resolving the issue. This was clearly a scam intended to exploit users.

I request you to investigate this number and take appropriate action to prevent further fraudulent activities.

Sincerely,
Ava Allen

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to report a scam incident involving a fraudulent Facebook support service. I came across a page claiming to provide guidance on “how to change Facebook password | official guide,” which displayed the contact number 833-644-8250. When I called the number seeking assistance, the individual falsely represented themselves as an official support agent and attempted to mislead me for financial gain.

This activity is clearly unauthorized and misuses the name of Facebook to deceive users. I request you to investigate this number and take necessary action to prevent further scams and protect others from similar fraudulent activities.

Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely,
Robert Davis

I am writing to report a scam incident involving individuals falsely representing Guardio support services. I contacted the number 844-449-5670 after seeing misleading information online related to stopping Bitdefender auto-renewal. to repair my computer than called me to say three is a noter problem with the computer

My TP Link router didn’t work. I called TP Link’s customer service line which is actually fraudulent. They tried to convince me to start paying $15 a month for some security feature to make my Wi-Fi work, they tried to convince me that my Wi-Fi was running slow slowly and if I pay them this amount, the problem will be fixed. When I told them that I didn’t want to do that, they hung up the phone.

Purchased the $1.99 teaser for the antivirus, kept receiving messages to upgrade so purchased the premium package for $38,98. When credit card statement arrived saw the other two charges for service not requested. Disputed the entire order whereas the card company advised to contact the merchant and was greeted by a Kevin G who asked me to go to my computer which he mirrowed in order to walk me step by step through the cancellation process (should have known better) but the company advertised a 30 no question refund so that's all I wanted. Kevin then said that I had signed a five year contract of $195.00 per year within the small print that couldn't be cancelled. Since the purchase was made using PayPal the can't seem to identify me properly and limited access to my account where I had just been sent some monies that I now have no access. I can't tell whether my card company is following through with the dispute but the agent did tell me that Kevin G was lying because that's what fraudsters do to frighten their target and I couldn't be locked into a five year contract, Just hung up from Kevin where I got what might be a good address but I do know a good number (877****217) and he tried to have me download an app called ANYDESK in order to mirror my smart phone.

They’re sending me notices that my phone is infected and are trying to send me to a website

I was trying to help my ailing mother who has recently undergone radiation get her gmail account back. She recently got a new phone and couldn’t remember her account password for gmail. Through watching videos on YouTube to see how to access a Gmail account without recovery set up, I noticed several people in the comments mentioned the firm recovery business. So I looked them up and found their website and reached out and they contacted me at 10:30 PM, which was odd to me because it was very late and I was not expecting anyone to text or email me. I got a text as well as an email. The man texted me and said his name was John and that he would help with the recovery set up for my mom‘s account. He got her first and last name her phone number as well as the email we needed for recovery. He then told me I would need to pay $200 and that there was a 24 hour turnaround before we would see any results. I then asked him if they offer receipts so that way I can explain to my mom even if something were to go wrong we have a paper trail of a receipt. He told me that because it’s a private cyber security business they do not provide receipts. Everything is done online. They also don’t have an accurate physical address. I also told him I researched the address in Google maps and did not find anything. My only concern is that I gave him my mother‘s name her number as well as the email that she no longer has access to. And then when I told him I choose not to do business with him, he got defensive and sent me offensive text messages, which is not what any professional would really do. He mentioned that this is not a “playground where children play”, and to never contact him again, which made me realize this is a scam and I just wanted this site to be recognized so someone can contact him or that email and have that website shut down.

This tech support scam uses different numbers use’s different numbers, and it is listed on the computer as a scam. Today at about 430 EST, I got a call from 513 798 8592. Dolly enough, I got a suspicious wrong number from Florida.. it was suspicious, as I don’t go to health clubs. There also has a drastic increase here in mail theft. My husband and I had 200 worth of packages stolen since we came back fro vacation. It happened last year, too. I will keep on reporting this fraud. I am not the scammer. I had to put my email in just to go to the next page.

They call you & tell you to turn on your computer, so they can help you with the computer problem you are having & check it out . Then they tell you that at a one time fee they will fix the problem at $600.00 dollars and call you back two weeks later & say it’s time for your tuneup. Then tell you that you have another problem & they can fix it for $1,200.00 dollars and your computer will last for 10 years or more. Two weeks later they call you and say it time for your check up. But they find something else wrong & for $169.99 they can fix it. I told them in the beginning I could get a new computer for the price they charged for repairs. They use this number 1+ 914 357 4399 they string you along & make you feel comfortable but it’s a racket . I’m trying to get my money back & buy a new computer I’m 74 years old and they target seniors.

My TV purchased from Best Buy had extended warranty using their Geek Squad department. I could not find the phone to call them that the tv remote was not working. So I had been using DuckDuckGo to get an email and using their browser. I did a search and got this number to call 8087676093. I called the number and gave them my name and address and phone and info about the warranty problem with the TV. He said I should download an app called Logmein and he gave me a PIN number. He said his boss Peter Johnson employee number E151303836 would call me in 10 minutes to do some diagnostics on the computer Mac mini connected by HDMI to the tcl 43 inch.

I got a call which showed 7134899616 in called ID. He claimed to be Peter Johnson and had the employee number.

He asked for the pin and he connected to my computer. He had me pull out the HDmi cable and it went black. I put it back in and he was on Best Buy website and asked me to put in my up to date credit card and that I would not be charged.

I put in my credit card and he then started an order for xbox xl gift cards or something like that for $130 and $100 he then said pull out the hdmi and I did and then put it back and he was already on Target website buying Grub Hub and other things. My wife was in the other room and saw charges being notified from the Best Buy and Target for about $725. The bank was asking if these were recognized by the notification emails. I told her to call the bank credit card ask for fraud division. It happened in about 10 minutes. He said he was not going to charge me and gave me another long number to give to billing at Best Buy. He hung up. I called Apple computer and they checked for viruses and they had me removed logmein app.

After that I got in touch with Best Buy by chat and they said don't worry and sorry that you had that bad experience you won't be charged. Then I called Target and they said the charges were blocked by the bank. I said I wanted the account closed and that he had access to my 1password account that was open in my computer that I did not realize. So I called the police and asked to file a police report and they said an officer would call me back. Later that day I gave the report and FTC and FBI online I gave the details. I had to reach as many companies and banks as possible and cancel all my accounts and credit cards were all stopped and the credit card company had blocked all charges except for the $230 . Best Buy refused to tell the bank that I was scammed and that there were other charges that were blocked. They are still fighting the dispute and not admitting what happened even though their chat wrote me that I would not be charged. It took me weeks to get Best Buy to cancel my account since I said I never wanted to buy from them again. It has been a horror story since we were already on the dark web in my family from Tmobile hacked three times and they had my ID and wife's ID and SSN numbers from all of us in my home and daughter as well. Experian was hacked and more info is on the dark web. It is impossible I wish I can cancel all my credit cards and still having to change our telephone numbers and change account numbers I do not know how much info this criminal stole and I realized after that some how they were able to get their number in DuckDuckGo and claim they were Geek squad. I am a disabled senior and a bit slow in my head and I should have known better than let them in but I have been letting Apple in my computer for their tech support which is much different than Logmein, Apple is legit and never has access to mouse etc. So I was ripped off and life is a torture never knowing who to trust. I do not know if the police or ftc or FBI even called to verify the first guys number and the one that called me to catch them. That is all.
