Proline Solutions told me our Quick Books account had been cancelled because of corrupted files. I let them in, and they showed me what I didn't know at the time were fake "corrupted error" files. To fix the files they would need to cancel our current corrupted QB subscription, fix the corrupted files on our computer, upload new software at a discounted rate, reduce the price of new software [because we had been long time QB users], and provide unlimited support for any further problems for a year. No work could be done until we scanned in our check for $2,411.19. When they got the check, they started in on our computer, taking our QB files off our computer, and uploading the data onto their iCloud server. When the new QB's they installed didn't work properly, and I couldn't back up my work, we realized we'd been had. We stopped payment on the check. But we had to pay for a new QB subscription with a new license. The REAL QB Support Team confirmed we had been hacked & told us NEVER to go to an outside service for support. Support is built into the annual subscription. Don't let anyone else fall for this scam.
