I answered a phone call from a 412 area code. The call first stated they were seeking to speak with me about an unresolved debt that was getting ready to go to with a debt company called Cash Central. I held the line to speak to someone. A rep stated I had defaulted on a loan with Cash Express, not Cash Central. I stated it must be fraud because I've never done business with this company and asked for a copy of the documentation. They hung up. I called back and spoke to another rep. I explained that I needed proof and I'd settle the $230 debt that they said ocurred 7 years prior. I asked why I'd never had a call because I'd had same phone for 10 years. No answer. Sent me a letter to my email (they already had last 4 of SS, old mailing, my email address, phone) but just restated I owed a debt. I said I'd need proof of the debt again. Rep stated the docs were with the lawyers and I'd be subpoened to court and have to pay a lot more. I said if you don't have the documentation how are you able to take me to court? Rep told me to make better decisions and hung up on me again.
