Scott Soika Sr ran an ad on Facebook promising car restoration services. He picked up my car and told me it will be about $5000 to do the job. This was January 2023. He took $2500 deposit. Job was supposed to be done in a few weeks. He then started making up excuses why he didn't have time to do the work. He was getting a divorce, moving the shop etc. By October he pulled the engine out of the car, cutting air conditioning lines in the process and then took the car apart. He then wanted to charge me 4X the book rate for the work done so far, plus get another $3K deposit to continue working. I said no and filed a lawsuit. Multiple attempts to serve him were not successful, as he was never at the location. Beware of this scammer!!!
