10 months ago my brand new computer came up with a message saying that something was wrong and that i needed to call this number. Everytime i tried to get on the internet the same message came up and i couldnt get any further. Finally after a week i called the number. They proceeded to tell me that they addressed software related issues and by paying 1500 for a lifetime monitoring service i would be safe. They had me convinced that the service they provided by "cleaning" my computer every month would prevent any further problems. They would call every month and "clean" my computer. 3 days ago they called me using a different phone number telling me there was a problem and that they needed to "clean" it. 45 minutes later i get another call saying that they needed my household to stay off the computer while they looked into the problem. The following day the tech calls again. Now i listen to him for over an hour how outside forces are trying to get in and they have stolen my IP address and that i needed my IP to be encryted. He goes into great detail my choices to have this encrytion done. The liftetime choice from the manufacturer was what he was pushing me towards. Supposedly i was saving money because it was a lifetime membership and that this was the best price since it was through the manufacturer. He didnt want me to talk to my husband, and he wanted an answer right now. My husband called him and he listened to him. Again he tried to make us feel stupid, he was pushing even harder, he never listened to my husband, he even started to get nasty because my husband was asking questions and he proceeded to turn the conversation around telling my husband that he knows nothing about computers or the internet. Lets just see if they call for our "monthly cleaning" next month. Please let us be an example and speak to a legitable company or reputable computer person when you are having an issue!

On 1/15/23 my new laptop with McAfee anti-virus protection and Windows 11 system shutdown. I called the Windows support number and came in contact with Simplex IP Solution .They worked all night to unlock my computer and they said I needed more protection from spy ware. I choose unfortunately lifetiime protection for $2000,0. I called my friend and went to Staples and confirmed this was a fraud . My computer was cleaned up and my unwanted software was removed . I put a electronic stop from checking account. When I did this I received calls on my hardwire and cell phone that would get a lawsuit and my credit rating would be destroyed. I called the police twice and they advised me not to talk and to ignore them and keep records of they do. My advice to the public is to not to do online fix and do not deal with Windows support

On 1/14/23 laptop locked up with a screen that said to notify Windows security, 475-897-7330. At that time I paid them $690 for internet protection for all 5 devices we own. On 1/29/23 I was on my iPad when the same notice came up and locked my iPad. The phone line was busy for over an hour. I called 1/30/23. Talked with rep. They said it will cost a one time of $99. I gave them all my info on my previous experience that I purchased their protection for two years on all our devices for $690. Still, he said I would still have to pay the $99. I called it a scam and said I was reporting them. He then said to power down my device for 5 minutes and he would clear it from his end. Then he ended the call. I followed his instructions. It worked. . I now believe that I purchased a scam. service that is designed to lock up your devices in order to get $$ out of you.
