I found El Sol Retreats with a google search. They advertised Ayahuasca retreats in California and Peru and mimicked Soltara retreats website almost perfectly. They even had someone post a blog or two elsewhere online when I checked. I even googled if it was legitimate and got an ai response that it seemed to be. The website even copied all of the shamans the other retreat center used, their bios everything. Great reviews etc. It looked very legit. When I emailed them they asked me typical questions to see if I was fit to participate (I have done ayahuasca before). They must have used chat gpt for emails because nothing gave them away as not being legitimate or non-US citizens.

I paid a $200 deposit via chime to hold my spot and the only thing that prevented me from paying the entire $1000 was the fact that I wasn't able to send it all via chime and they said the spot would be gone and I should send it via Bitcoin. I lost $200 and I am NEVER scammed, I'm young and smart and this was a very well done website / scam. BEWARE.

I was attempting to obtain a passport and passcard via their website. I was charged $148.90 under the assumption I was paying my passport fees to U.S. Department of State with a debit card. I was misled into divulging my personal information to a private business portraying itself as a legitimate government agency through deceptive large print letterhead stating; (U.S. TRAVEL ONLINE APPLICATION. The application indicated I was required to sign the documents in person but this agency gave me no contacts. After finally going to the USPS to ask about who would witness my signing of documents, they indicated I should contact the Department of State. I did and was told this was a fraudulent site. Myusatraveldocs.org website is using a US government agency to scam consumers out of their money and personal information. The websites' only application request was the personal information required on the DS-11 FORM and the credit card payment. I contacted them through email and requested a refund. They initially indicated they would refund my money within 10 days. After 10 days I contacted them again and they indicated they required by bank details. Upon contacting my bank, I was warned this was not wise as the merchant could use my information to take my funds. The merchant has refused to credit back via my debit card.

I needed a name change for purchased airline tickets. My mother-in-law called Expedia using the number on the site and we initiated a name change request. Two days later, I called a number that I found as the first hit on Google which was 888-865-2654. I spoke to a man who claimed his name was Oscar and was assisting with the name change submitted. Thinking back, I provided the information that Expedia would have had on file, but I was flustered. "Oscar" told me that it was $700 for the name change. When I told him I was unsure, he told me that prices for that ticket were going up and that I would miss my flight, but he would reduce it to $510.98. I was so nervous about missing the flight that I gave him my debit card number and I was immediately charged $510 which showed as Debit-DC 1356 Airtickets XX3848NJ 1356 Airtickets 877-626 877-6263848 NJ. He also told me to email passport photos to [email protected], When I called Expedia to see why the name wasn't changed yet, they told me that they do not show a transaction and that they do NOT charge for name changes. He advised me to report the fraudulent charge. I gave him the number that I had Google'd and he said that was not an Expedia number.

He has claimed he is from Expedia ticketing 1-855-542-9255, and I have booked a Stand-by ticket and need to pay additional $2806 to convert my ticket to a confirmed ticket. I have contacted the airline directly and was told it is a confirmed ticket and has been paid for.

We booked a room on Expedia, with it being FULLY REFUNDABLE by 4/14. The room to be paid for AT the hotel. Called them on 7/7, to cancel as we could not make the dates of 4/15 to 4/20. Checked other weeks and because I HAD A CREDIT CARD on file, they said I wasnt allowed to cancel. They were gone a long time, came back to say, I COULD cancel for a 200.00 fee. I am a woman and senior, and we are being targeted. I spoke to over 7 people this day, last person a floor supr. Adam. Said it was canceled. My gut feeling didnt believe this, around 7pm, I went to the Expedia website, and it WAS NOT canceled. I would have been charged 200.00 for a room that was FULLY REFUNDED before 4/14 and I called 4/7. There is a scam going on in the Seattle, WA company and it is not being monitored. They are probably scanning people out of hundresd of dollars. I then tried to cancel online, and after an hour, WAS able to cancel with no charge. This SCAM needs to b looked into, and cleaned out and honest people brought in.

I went online to find tickets for a trip. The price on their website was $895 for a first-class round trip ticket from Phoenix, AZ to Orlando, FL starting on 20 April to 4 May. The company called me and informed me that the price of the ticket was over $1500. I informed the representative that it is not acceptable that the website stated that the cost is $895. She then told me that I did not pay enough money for the ticket, that first class is very expensive, and that you can not fly first class anywhere for $895. I informed her that was the price that the company's website said and that I am not paying extra. She tried to put me on another flight for the price of $895, but it was not first class. I told her I was not interested anymore, but she kept calling, trying to get me to purchase the ticket. I had to lock my credit card so that they would not charge my card. The number she kept calling me from is (866)-960-2626.

This website is posing as an official US government website. They appear as though they offer various government services including passports. I used their website with the intention of renewing my passport. All they do is provide a PDF forms to complete and charged me $119.90 for the US passport book and/or card. The charge was only for the PDF forms, and they claim they use their "experts" to review your application to make sure there are no mistakes but, they DO NOT process the renewal of your passport or ID card.

The company Visit Australia Visas https://application.visitaustraliavisas.com/ presents as a visa application service that for me was difficult to distinguish from a legitimate/official application portal. They request all the information needed, but did not deliver a visa ever (let alone in the promised time). They charged for the service immediately. It seems professional, including follow-up emails, requesting better photographs, but then reports of software being 'down' was the first sign of problems, then a lack of response to any enquiries about progress.

Pretended like I needed to pay for a seat assignment and did not make the change.

- Mission Viejo, CA, USA • Mar 08, 2025

Poses as a hotel reservation site, charges 50% more than advertised and charged card without any authorizations. Even though reservation was to be end of May 2025, they would not refund. Website submit button was never pushed!

Tried to book a flight through this site, they called me and said i couldnt take on any carry on bags and i would have to upgrade from the $291 flight to over $790 , i told him to cancell my flight and do not charge my card , i immediately shut off my card and then the ahole tried to charge my card the $291. They are scammers. I cancelled my card and the company is sending a new one.

I ordered tickets to Maui and gave my credit card information. I was sent a confirmation with Alaska Airlines with the caveat that the prices may change. Within 2-hrs I received a phone call voice mail message and the translation wording was not understandable and made absolutely no sense and mentioned my Air Mexico flight? I returned the call to the number and spoke to a person, Patrick, who had a ver heavy Indian accent. I requested to cancel this reservation (and the website stated a 24-hr cancellation policy). Patrick discouraged me to not cancel and was telling me a story of why I could not cancel and speaking fast so I was having trouble understanding him. Finally, he agreed to make the cancellation and said I would have the xcl confirmation within next 2-hrs. I called back when I did not receive the cancellation confirmation. I have called back 4-times now and talked with George Smith. Each time he assures me the ticket is cancelled, however, he cannot create the xcl confirmation as it must come from the ticketing agent (a separate department). He assures me that the ticketing agent (his name is Frank Smith) will be sending me the information. This morning (now 1-1/2 days since the original purchase) I spoke to George Smith again and he said that Frank Smith is not there right now but he will be in shortly and I will have my confirmation number within the next 2-hrs. All of the people I speak with have heavy Indian accents, speak fast and are hard to understand. The reasons they give for not being able to produce this xcl confirmation are convoluted and very suspect. I will never deal with a company that us not associated with a major domestic airline company/ticket agency again. Do not use HOT FLIGHT DEALS.

When my wife tried to cancel a cruise with Royal Carribean, she found a 24 hr customer service line 8449668527 which she saw on a "Royal Carribean" website. She spoke to a Darren French who said that he wanted $300 to cancel our cruise in lieu of the non-refundable $500 deposit we made. He got my wife's credit card number. When I went online to confirm the cruise cancellation, the real Royal Carribean had no record of it. We called the credit card company to refuse the charges and were informed on how to handle the matter, including getting a new credit card. It was amazing the Darren sent us a "confirming email" regarding the transaction which included all of our itinerary information, including ship name, departure date, Reservation ID, and room type!!! Darren also gave us his personal number3326001842, X759. Royal Carribean should fix this data breach!!!

We received a letter inviting us to a “Travel Forum”. As an incentive they offered a voucher good for 2 round trip tickets to many US cities and a $100 dining savings card.

During and after the presentation they would not disclose the name of their travel company. None of the people had business cards to hand out. They would not share the web address of their website until we paid the $6-10,000 to join. The only number they would acknowledge is the 833-770-1040 number in their initial mailer,

The voucher they gave us for travel was through a California based company named casablancaexpress. When we did an online search for this company, we came to the ScamPulse.com site and learned this Casablanca travel company is a scam. Many people lost $500 to $1000 in “fees and taxes” they had to pay up front and could not book the promised trip for various reasons.

Kat Beal, Kathy Beal, Kathy Hall contacted my wife whom she has known since childhood. She told us that she had flight vouchers she had earned through JetBlue for being top performer and she would sell them to us for only $100 for a round trip ticket. Of course we were interested as we have a large family and any way to save money would be great. Before we purchased anything from her we contacted another individual who had bought tickets from Kat and they seemed legit. So we went ahead and purchased $1800.00 worth of tickets. She then let us know that a co-worker of her had a resort pass in Hawaii that had a face value of about 5-6k but she would sell it for $1500.00. We gave her an additional $1500.00 dollars as my wife and I were looking to finally plan our honeymoon to Hawaii. Since giving her the $3300.00 dollars we have flown 1 time, round trip (my wife and I), technically $200.00 in Kat's book. We have repeatedly asked for a refund and we have not seen a cent yet. It is always something or "thank you for being patient, I have so much going on but I will make sure I get your money back to you." It has been over 8 months and nothing.

I booked 2 airlines tickets and was charged $807.99 for delta and it was declined by my bank at first until I confirmed it was me making the transaction. I had to send a copy of my bank card with just the last four digits showing and a copy of my drivers license to prove it was me making the transaction and then the money came out of my account and then a week later the money went back into my account. I called them and they said it is still a valid booking and that when they send the tickets my account will be deducted. Spoke to a guy named Derrick Harvey
