Self Inc Lender claims to be a way to build your credit by taking money monthly and promising to pay it back at the end of the term, or if you close early only have a small portion taken out to hold your money. But the reality is they end up holding your money, charging 14% and not refunding the full amount. I deposited $450 and now am only getting $45 back. They prey on the financially vulnerable, exploiting them and taking their money with the promise to rebuild their credit and refund the money paid. But this doesn’t happen. This is clear exploitation and taking advantage of someone who is at a disadvantage already.
