I received a restricted call but I thought is was a physician calling me back so I answered. It was Select Admin Medical Solutions (a collection agency) trying to collect for labs drawn in June 2023. I asked who the provider was who ordered the labs and she said it was from a hospitalization. I asked 3 times who the ordering provider was (I am a nurse so I am not naïve) and she got loud and said "I have already told you". I said no, you didn't, I would like to know who the ordering provider is so I can verify that this isn't a scam and she got louder and said "You are being difficult so I am going to document that you are are refusing arrangements and this will go against your credit." As I was trying to tell her to take me off of her call list, she hung up on me.
