Fake cattery in Tulsa, Oklahoma (current fake address used - 10703 S. 85th East Ave. (false address) Tulsa, OK)

Scammer's phone number: (539) 200-0046

Scammer's e-mail address: [email protected] and gretelllopiz201.cc.cc

Initial contact on April 14th via text & website. The man's accent seemed to be Indian (from India). He said the rare breed cattery was his grandmother's business (for 30 years) and she had recently passed away and he was taking over the house with the cattery attached. I spoke to the Munchkin Kitten Scammer on the phone on April 14th and he re-quoted the kitten for $850. The $300 deposit was forfeited IF I was able to pick the kitten up within 2 days. Confirmed appointment for Saturday April 16th morning (open time slot). Drove straight through to Tulsa, OK from Colorado Springs, CO (in a snow storm),

Scammer tried to cancel via text when we were half way (somewhere in Kansas). Called Scammer and told them we would just get the kitten and leave, no tour of cattery required so continued on. Stayed at a local hotel near the address provided. In the morning the Scammer was not answering calls or texts. Went to the address provided but it was a false address and the homeowner kindly assured me I had the wrong location.

I called the Scammer . They asked me to meet them at the nearest coffee shop and said no and that I would give them one last chance if they were real to get me the kitten ad that I would give them an address of where to meet me. I texted back and told them to meet me in front of the Hideaway Pizza at 10461 S. Memorial Dr. #7040 Tulsa, OK 74133. I called the Tulsa police and explained the circumstances. Then a late model Lexus (deep dark navy blue) with BLACKED OUT (not just tinted) with lots of chipped silver framing around the passenger windows... pulled up behind the only car in the parking lot (ad just out of frame of the 2 front door cameras at the restaurant entry way (at the intersection so heavy trafficked). The Lexus pulled out and circled the restaurant and pulled up along side my car. The car sat there and then went and pulled back into the same parking spot as before. We did not approach the car. No windows ever rolled down and no one exited the Lexus. The phone number was suddenly disconnected / "out of order". Considering the circumstances I felt at risk and opted to leave to avoid confrontation or possibly be victimized. Watched to ensure we were not being followed. Only money spent was around $400 for gas, food and lodging.

Situation could have taken a turn for the worse. I was well armed, was not alone and in an extremely public place but things could have still gone very badly. We felt being robbed was highly possible, and being harmed very probable had we followed THEIR instructions.
