Online Overseas Retailer Scam
I ordered an electric scooter from RuiToo, and it arrived damaged and unsafe. Specifically:
The kickstand was broken right out of the box.
The body had scratches and dents, clearly indicating the product was not new.
The charger is dangerous — it overheats, the cooling fan doesn't work, and it constantly shuts off into thermal protection mode and then cycles back on every ~15 seconds. This creates a fire risk.
I contacted the company immediately by email and provided:
Photos of the damage,
The order number and my name,
A clear description of the issues.
They did not respond for several days. I found their WhatsApp number in the manual, and only then did they tell me they were on "holiday until May 6th" — something I was never informed about as a customer.
They briefly replied to my email on May 4th, then stopped responding entirely, even after I sent additional documentation.
This is unacceptable. I received a defective, unsafe product, and the seller is refusing to assist or honor any warranty or return policy.
I am requesting that this company be investigated for:
Selling unsafe and damaged products,
Failing to respond to customer support requests,
Possibly engaging in deceptive practices by delivering non-new items as new.
