Type of a scam Tech Support

A warning came up on my screen that my computer had a virus. A number to call was recommended so I called. (1-800-616-5160) and then an Indian speaking man named Andy had me allow him access to my computer. He told me that I apparently had a virus that had corrupted my computer in many different ways and that I also was having trouble (which I did not have previously) with my computer connecting to my printer. To get all these things fixed he said I needed to buy annual tech support and a security plan. He said these services were for 5 years and at a cost of $350. I gave him my credit number. I received a transcription receipt, which I just noticed does not say I paid for 5 years. I called Risezone and they say I paid for one year only. I recently had another very similar screen popup supposedly a warning from Microsoft. I called the number and the routine was the same as Risezone. I aborted that second interaction before paying more money. My computer was not corrupted the second time and I now believe I was scammed by Risezone and my computer was not corrupted the first time. There are YouTube videos and ScamPulse.com complaints about Risezone being a complete scam. They operate out of Mumbai India, sell you something you don't need and claim the service is for more time than you will get for the exorbitant price you pay them, and then don't fix your computer either because there is nothing wrong with your computer or they are incompetent.
