Called the company and got a lot of absurd instructions from the person answering the phone including I could only get a one-half refund then when I complained it was a $74 refund and I would have to call them and give them my tracking number even if I returned by Fed Ex which has the tracking number and which has to be signed by company and if I did not call in advance with tracking number I would not get a refund. I wanted to speak to the supervisor that this person answering the phone told me was not available until tomorrow.

I would like to file a complaint about predatory behavior of the company RevitaNu, also the names Accelerate Skin and Chain Vitamin C have been associated with this product case. I am writing to the Florida ScamPulse.com due to the following info I copied from the company website:

Governing Law. This agreement and its performance shall be governed by the laws of the state of Florida, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. You consent and submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, the state of Florida, United States of America, in all questions and controversies arising out of your use of the Site and this Agreement. To the extent allowed by applicable law, any claim or cause of action arising from or relating to your access or use of the Site must be brought within two (2) years from the date on which such claim or action arose or accrued.

On 5/16/22, I purchased what was billed as a free sample for a $14.95 shipping and handling fee from RevitaNu and received a 1 oz sample in the mail a few days later. The charge to my Visa card showed it was from Chain Vitamin C. At no time during the purchase process was I asked to accept Terms & Conditions.

On 5/25/22, I was notified by my credit card company Capital One Visa, that a charge of $89.99 by Accelerate Skin was posted to my account. I declined this unsolicited charge.

On 5/26/22, I called the number provided: 833-372-5816 with the charge and Accelerate Skin customer service, to stop any further attempts to bill me. The customer service person advised I had agreed to the terms and conditions and if I were canceling the subscription service I must return the sample, at my expense to:

I asked for the website information where I would have seen the Terms & Conditions. After a hold of 2 or more minutes, the customer service person provided the following:

This site address did not work, so I used RevitaNu.com

At the bottom of the website is the small print Terms & Conditions, which, after clicking on it, says that by making an order, you are agreeing to their Terms & Conditions. It gives an 18 day time period to cancel, or else you will be on their monthly subscription service. Copied from the Terms & Conditions on the website:

Orders. By submitting your shipping and payment information and authorizing the order, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of the offer seen on the webpage you had or will be ordering from. Once you click the order button, identified on checkout as a colored button that currently reads "Place Your Order" you will be sent your order of our product, and be billed a small amount to cover the shipping and handling fee which will appear on your account today as identified in your checkout conformation email. The 18-day period begins on the day you place your order and may be cancelled by email at [email protected]. The product is identified as a dietary supplement that works best when used in conjunction with diet and exercise. All customer's are responsible to pay the Shipping and Handling charged for the first shipment once the order has been submitted. The cost of the product is $89.95 and you will be billed that price for the initial product sent out if you do not cancel prior to the 18th day of your period expiring and return the product back to us as we assume the product is working for you and you wish to continue using them to effectively achieve your health. If you wish to cancel your order, simply contact us by phone at 833-930-0194 and return the product…

This feels like predatory behavior and fraudulent.

I will ship back the sample they sent to close the loop on my part. However, I want to warn others and have them flagged in your system as bad actors.
