I called Costco regarding an upcoming cruise and got transferred to what I now know was a scam. The person said I had a balance of $1498 and upon giving my credit card she doubled it because there were two cabins, final loss $2978.88. She had all our information, it feels like an inside job. They are so good their emails look legit and even sent travel documents hours after the call/scam. This organization needs to be stopped.

Scammer acted as Etihad Customer Support Rep speaking on record line. There is a Microsoft issue and one leg of reservation has been cancelled. To guarantee the booking, payment must to be made and original amount would be refunded from Etihad. Believed the rep and made payment. Email came from [email protected] and has references to Travel TXS LLC.

I requested a refund and they told me I had to pay the cancelation fee upfront to receive the full amount back.
