They are trying to get personal information regarding a potential refund with a forfeiture date within a week of receiving the postcard.

They are claiming this refund has bee confirmed from a Texas Based Public Agency. I have gone to the unclaimed Texas website and nothing is there.

I received a postcard claiming that i have a "Total Recovery Amount" of "$5,880.59". It says to call "(888) 209-5109" to claim. That the funds are "from lost or forgotten funds, or an overpayment to a Texas based public agency and its not from the IRS or a loan". Supposedly, the case the case number is: HS-81629. I have received several of this postcards for the past year. Everytime, I throw them in the trash. And they continue sending them.

I got a postcard in the mail claiming that I owed $5,036.91 and that I needed to provide a response by 10/10/2025.
