Type of a scam Rental
Part One:
I was text messaged by a person about a job that I applied for on LinkedIn. The job was for a remote property manager. This person stated that he saw my resume. The person said that his name was Michael, and he was part of the RedFin & American Escrows group. He stated that he needed a freelance personal assistant who could advertise real estate properties on Craigslist, and Facebook Marketplace. He stated that I'd get paid 150 daily or 800 weekly. I accepted his offer. The person's name was Michael Pullara . He texted me from the number 7542554622. The email he used was [email protected].
Part Two:
He stated that he would email me the details, and to post them on Facebook Marketplace. This was included in an email. The email included the location, information he wanted in the post, and photos. I posted to Facebook Marketplace, and Craigslist. He told me that when people were interested, to send them the following message:
"Thank you for showing interest in this wonderful property, please contact +17542003741 for more info about renting this home. Please, text or call the provided number."
. and that I would not have to contact them after sending them this message. I was banned from fb marketplace, and through searching, I found that others have fallen victim to his scam. I have messaged all of the people this man has had me contact to warn them of this scam. I have contacted linkedin, and the realtor that he is stealing photos from. The linkedin page for the job has been removed. I'm not sure if this is due to the poster's removal.

A similar ad is still shown for the same job on a different website. It has the same phone number as the one that has been texting me. The phone number given is (754) 255-4622 . The email given is [email protected]. The email is the same one shown on the linkedin job post. The linkedin profile was also for a woman, not a man. The business name was Bit used assets.
