Received a phone call from 612-842-5920 saying I owed $20000.00 in back taxes and they needed to be paid by the end of the month. The voice on the line is a creepy male voice that identifies himself as Shane Michaels from Rapid Tax Filing and that I need to call them back at 888-751-3565.

Received a call and didn’t answer this is the voicemail they left:

The phone call was from “Meredith Williams at Rapid Tax fillings LLC” stating I owed back taxes due before the end of the month and needed to call her back at 260-529-3340 to get this settled. They are requesting payment and trying to start payment plans. Using a false sense of urgency to try to convince you to act quickly. SCAM!

The scammer, Meredith Williams of Rapid Tax Filings, claimed I owed back taxes and needed to contact her immediately to avoid garnishment. I do not owe any back taxes. She said "To opt out of any future calls call the phone number this call came in on." I did no such thing. My phone showed her call came in on 908 867-7456.
